we all know the 1970s are great for FN, but have you given the 1930s a chance?
inspired by a 1930s bias cut dress i was recently gifted, i thought i'd share some 1930s fashion illustrations and photos that showcase the silhouettes of the era. while not all of these looks strictly follow FN lines, you can perhaps see where the 1970s drew their inspiration from. there are definitely some aspects of fashion at the time that do not work (e.g., the high waisted belts, high neck daytime blouses, etc.) but many do (e.g., wide leg pants, long skirts, halter tops).
included are "liquid silk" evening dresses, "beach pajamas" or the wide leg jumpsuits, trousers with blouses, swimsuits, and some coats. enjoy!
