Blike leasing

Has anyone had any luck obtaining a bike with them? I tried and was rejected basically saying I’m too poor. My missus who earns 2.5x more than I do is also rejected. She has a longer credit history having been living here longer. Was told her credit band is below their threshold. What am I missing? Do we need a car or housing loan before we can lease a bike? Genuinely confused. And frustrated

Place of Issue

TIL that the place of issue changes based on your most frequent port of departure. For context, I just moved to the UK

Ryanair STN Weighing Scales

I’ve recently flown twice on Ryanair out of STN. Both times I noticed that their weighing scale adds about 500g of weight. Here’s the thing - both times I use my luggage scale at home which has proven, many times, to be relatively accurate compared to the scales at LHR.

Is this their ploy to scam their customers into paying for overweight luggage? Granted that my luggage was weighed to be 10.2kg on a 10kg allowance and it went through just fine but that’s because I made sure that my luggage was no more than 9.7kg at home.

The fact that LHR scales often closely match my own, I’m inclined to think that Ryanair is playing dirty. Thoughts?

Edit: I normally fly ex LHR and have only flown Ryanair twice without any issues. Because my non standard scale at home are close to what I always get at LHR, these “discrepancies” stuck out. It’s not a hill I’m going to die on and I’m happy to be called an idiot or what have you by the pleasant Redditors. Was just looking for similar experiences
