Donation complications

Hi everyone,
I’ve donated plasma seven times, and during my fifth donation, which was unsuccessful, the place where the needle was suddenly started hurting, and a bump started to form near it under my skin, and the machine stopped (the spot where I was donating from was the usual spot I had all my previous successful donations with). The nurses approached what felt like forever because of how packed the Center was. They pulled it out and told me something was wrong with needle, didn’t give me any explanations, and asked me if I wanted to switch to the other arm. I said yes, but after a few minutes the same things happened again, and they stopped the donation, did not explain what happened, and sent me home. I was on a two week break, then went back to donate again, since I needed the money, and it went pretty smooth. But the one after that, aka my last donation had the same situation going on as the fifth donation. The nurses again just sent me home without explanation. I did my own research, and I’m confused because some say it’s the veins size, some say the needle had moved etc.
Can someone with similar experience or knowledge kindly explain what had happened, and how to avoid it in the future? I’d be very grateful 🙏
