OM‑1 Mark II - anyone else frustrated that C1/C2/C3/C4 changes get reset on power‑off?
Hey everyone,
I’m posting to see if this is common or if I’m missing something obvious.
I use Custom Mode C1 as my landscape starting point, C2 as my run‑and‑gun street preset and C3 for bird photography,
While I love my relatively new camera a behaviour frustrates me: the OM‑1 Mark II treats changes made after recalling a custom mode as temporary and will revert to the stored custom‑mode settings after shut down, which means small in‑field tweaks (for example changing aperture by one or two stops) end up being lost after powering the camera off.
I could surely relay more on sleep mode, or consider auto saving changes using the “hold” function, but I’d end up progressively altering my preset. I’d rather prefer the camera to only discard temporary tweaks when I deliberately switch the mode dial away from a custom slot, not as part of powering down. I want quick one‑off changes to be thrown away when I manually change mode, but kept across power cycles if I’ve deliberately saved them.
Thanks for reading, curious to hear other workflows or if this is just me.
