We started our relationship two months ago, and it all happened so fast. We met at my college. One day, when I was on a break with my friend, she came over to us and started a conversation about the game my friend and I were playing. We talked a lot, and afterward we exchanged Instagram accounts. We talked all night long.
After that, she and I started hanging out together at college for about two weeks. Then she told me that she wanted to kiss me. We kissed, and on our third date, I asked if she wanted to be my girlfriend because we were already sending each other couple reels and had already had sex. She accepted.
At the beginning, things were going really well, but then she started saying that I treated her like a friend. She said that I never initiated text conversations and that sometimes I acted like I didn't care. However, I had never been in a relationship before her, which was something I told her before we started dating, so everything was new to me, and I was never the type of person who knew how to express emotions with words.
Maybe it's true that I didn't initiate our text conversations very often. Even though I tried, sometimes I just didn't know what to say and ended up not texting. However, when we were together, I would always ask about her day or bring up other topics. We would hold hands, kiss, and hug. I also organized dates, such as going to the cinema, cooking for her at my place, and I always drove her places. I also gave her flowers.
I wasn't the kind of guy who was always saying, "I miss you" or "I need you," but I did say things like that once in a while, and I always said, "I love you." So I didn't know what she meant when she said I treated her like a friend.
I asked her to tell me if something was bothering her and told her that she could always talk to me so I could make things better, but she just said that everything was alright and that she was sad because things weren't going well with her family.
We went to a bar on the weekend, and everything seemed fine. She said that she loved me and that, because it was my first relationship, she would understand if I wanted to meet other people. However, I told her that I didn't want to meet other people, that I loved her, and that I wanted to be with her. After that, we came back to my house, where I live alone, and we slept together (we just slept because she was really drunk). She went home the next morning because her mother doesn't like it when she sleeps away from home. On Monday, she came over again, and we made out. So I thought everything was fine.
But yesterday (06/09), she texted me saying that she thought we shouldn't date for now because I didn't make her feel desired and that I didn't care enough. I asked her what I could have done differently and told her that it was never my intention to make her feel that way, but she only said not to blame myself and that she didn't feel desired.
But how can I not blame myself? I feel like I didn't try hard enough. Even though, when we were together, I thought I was trying, now I feel like I could have done better. Reading through our conversations, I can see some texts that I sent that could have been interpreted as cold. But why didn't she tell me that it was still bothering her? I would have tried to do better. After I talked to her about it, I thought everything was fine.
Now she wants to be friends with me. She said that we could still hang out together and even make out. I don't know how to feel about it. I still love her and want to be with her. I don't think I can see her with other guys while being her friend, but at the same time, I don't want to cut ties with her.
I don't know what to do. What i could have done better ?
