Big 4 Tax --> Fund Accounting?

[USA]

I'm a B4 Tax Intern right now. I think 3-4 years down the road I want to become a Fund Accountant.

I work with Private Equity/Funds in my service line.

Is it okay to stay in Tax? Will it be transferrable to the skills of a Fund Accountant, or should I pivot to Audit? I've been receiving conflicting answers.

Thoughts on SWPPX/SCHG in Taxable & Roth?

21 years old. I will max out my Roth annually and invest $30,000+ annually in my taxable.

My investments are purely for wealth building. I don’t plan to withdraw for 30+ years.

Thoughts on:

100% SWPPX - Roth IRA
100% SCHG - Taxable

Any alternatives that would be better suited for my goals?

Who decides intern return offer?

I’m an Intern at a mid-size city in the U.S. I heard return offers are around 60%. I know the recruiter ultimately decides based off PML report.

However, on my engagements, I’m mainly working with the associates/TC, where I feel it’s been productive. My PML is really busy so they haven’t really seen me work. I don’t know how they can accurately evaluate me.

Do they ask the associates about my performance? Is that how the report/feedback is written?
