this ONLY happens in flight, at high altitudes.
once I land, the lines DISAPPEAR after around 6 hours.
Any idea as to what this weird lcd behaviour is? is it similar to a fault line? could it be a weak spot on my display where it could crack in the future?

There's no reason the mycards website should block desktop. It's a website for managing cards.
The worse part is that their sheer incompetence ensures that they haven't even implemented the device check properly. If you want to truly block desktop users, at least hire someone competent enough to do it.
Why make the users download an app, for something that can be done just as well on desktop? Do you explicitly hate desktop users?
