advice on restoring ugg tasman

hello :) i love these slippers so much but they are sooo beat… any advice on how i can salvage them would be much appreciated!!

i saw some videos of people cleaning the suede with dry shampoo and just using a brush, and it kind of worked? however, i did that a while ago and they eventually got dirty again + rained on. i think some of the previous stains i dealt with resurfaced and now i’m just curious if there’s a more efficient way of cleaning these.

i compared these tasmans with my ultra mini’s and they’re like a whole shade darker 😭

stats: data and models textbook

this might be a stupid question, but on my booklist, it says i may need stats: data and models, fourth canadian edition for my math 1160 course. however, i was able to find a copy of stats: data and models, third canadian edition online for free. i read into the details and both copies are written by the same authors.

will the version i just downloaded be fine for the course? i know it’s an edition off, but how different could it be? i’m just trying to save as much money as possible because the price of textbooks are quite hefty

how do i complete DCUE 0100?

within the NSU #3 email that was sent out, it says that students have until september 7th to complete DCUE 0100 (Academic Integrity) on blackboard, but i’m not seeing it show up? i’m also unable to see DCUE 0200.

is anyone else having this problem? i understand that DCUE 0100 is a mandatory course to be completed before the semester starts.

nursing student supplies/essentials?

hi everyone! i’m starting the AFNURS program at douglas this fall, and my long-term goal is to get into the BSN program afterward.

i was wondering what kinds of school supplies or essentials will be most useful for nursing students. i know college is pretty different from high school, so i’m not really sure what i should buy…

i already have an ipad and a laptop, so i’m wondering if i actually need things like multiple binders or notebooks, or if most people just take digital notes. i’m mostly unsure because i don’t know if professors hand out a lot of physical worksheets or other paper materials.

if anyone has any recommendations for supplies they found helpful (or things they bought but never ended up using), i’d really appreciate it.

incoming AFNURS student in fall 2026 seeking advice (and friends)

hi everyone!

i’ll be starting douglas college’s AFNURS program in the fall, and i was wondering if anyone has any advice, tips, or things they wish they knew before starting.

i just graduated high school, so i’m feeling a mix of excitement and nerves about beginning college. nursing has been my goal for a long time, and i’m really looking forward to starting this next chapter, but i’m definitely a little intimidated by the transition from high school to post-secondary.

i’ve also been working on my draft schedule in preparation for fall 2026 registration and would love to hear any feedback from current or former AFNURS students, and even BSN students!
i’ve spent way too much time on “rate my professor” trying to carefully choose my courses and instructors, so i’m hoping i’ve put together a decent schedule…

another thing i’m a bit nervous about is maintaining my grades. i’m a recipient of the president’s entrance scholarship, which means i need to maintain at least a B (3.0 GPA) throughout my time at douglas, both during AFNURS and later in the BSN program. i’d love to hear from anyone who’s balanced nursing school while keeping up a strong GPA. any study tips, time management advice, or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

i’d also love to connect with any other incoming students who will be starting AFNURS in fall 2026, or even anyone around my age (17/18) who’ll be going to douglas in the fall. it would be nice to meet some people before classes begin!

thanks in advance, and i’m looking forward to hearing from everyone :)
