Update From Last Night

Original Post Here

I had to go to work in the morning today, but afterwards, I did it. Its not complete, there's still a LOT to do, I havent even touched my desk, but I have a floor again. I have a walk way. I also found a 'new' pair of shoes. The shoes on the left are the work shoes I've worn for 6 years, the shoes on right are the exact same pair, I forgot I had bought at the same time as the first pair.

I have two whole hampers full of clothes to wash and keep, bags of garbage to throw away, a box full of paper to shred, and bags of clothes and shoes to donate. I also have a bag of old pill bottles to get properly disposed of at a pharmacy. Many are anxiety meds I havent taken in over a year, just kept forgetting to bring with me to the store to dispose of.

It's not complete but I do already feel better. (had to delete a photo as it had my info on it, oops.)

Struggling to clean my room.

I have tried to clean my room several times but I always end up feeling overwhelmed and often end up making a bigger mess. I dont know where to start or how to keep myself from just giving up after getting overwhelmed.

If you can ban ANY customer, no questions ask, who and why?

We all have customers that annoy us, some more than others, and while I've had customers that are awful, this one I want banned mainly because of how OFTEN they come in and annoy me and my coworkers. I'll call them L to make the story easier to tell.

I work in Print and Marketing, and L has been coming in long before I even started, 4 years, and they've always been a pain. They latch onto one associate and refuses to work with ANYONE else. When I started, it was the Print Supervisor L was latched onto, and prior to them, was the previous PS. That alone is annoying but not ban worthy. No, its just one part of it. When PS was working, he'd tell L that he works M-F and he's gone by 4:30, so if L wants anything done, L needs to be there BEFORE 4:30 and yet, nearly every single time, L would come in AFTER PS has left and would be frustrated cus L needs their stuff done but refuses to even talk to anyone else. "Oh PS just knows what to do."

One time, I swapped shifts with PS, so I was opening instead of him. L came in, mad that PS wasnt there, and then proceeded to wait in their car for PS to come in. Over 4 hours. Now I tried to work with L, but I cant do anything if they dont tell me anything. Also L's stuff is just basic prints. Thats it. L brings in either a file or a physical, and wants copies of it, thats it. The issue is trying to get a number out of them is like pulling teeth. L showed me two things they wanted copies of. I asked how many. "Um... well... you see... I just cant give you the speedy answers you require, I'll just wait for PS to come in." And left. AND IT GETS WORSE. When PS came in and asked how many copies L wanted, "I want 5 copies of this one and 3 of this one." I was so mad.

Now that still didnt want me to ban L. But there's more. One day, L 'notices' the express fee (real quick, we do always mention it to L cus they have a habit of coming in and wanting their stuff right that second, very rarely needing it later, so they've been charged and told about the express fee plenty of times) and asked about the extra charge. It was explained that its the express fee. An extra 30% when you need something in a rush. And L got mad, said that they've never been told about it, called us thieves and liars, and wanted it taken off. We took it off just to get them to calm down... then they said that they were going to bring in ALL of their receipts and get all of those refunded. We told L that any older than 30 days could not be refunded at all. So L left, and didnt come back for like a month or so, claimed they've never come back. They came back.

The next two orders we did for L, they left without paying. Now, L is an old person and kind of... off. So we all genuinely thought that it wasn't on purpose, just an accident. Cus both times they took their stuff to the side to cut them out, and then left without paying. Yeah no, it was on purpose. Cus the third time I stopped L and said they still needed to pay. They legit said "Oh I've already paid enough here considering the amount of money you've all stolen from me." And from that point on, everything just shifted. Like ok, its not an accident, it was on purpose.

So now, we make them pay before handing ANYTHING over, L keeps trying to leave without paying too. Like they still want their stuff now, but doesnt want express, so we tell them that they have to come back later. Thats a whole back n forth. L also doesnt want to pay for the paper, so they bring their own... but never enough. Like they'll bring in 3 sheets but asked for like 5 copies, and expects us to just use our own but also not charge for it cus "they brought their own". Also makes a big fuss about paying first too. And whenever extra work is required (like cutting or edits or design) L makes a big fuss about not wanting to pay for it but also still wanting us to do it.

PS left, someone else took over as the new PS, but L still just keeps... missing PS. L will call almost always in the later afternoon, so its just me, the closer, and legit has asked us to have PS to just... come back in. Both old and new.

The last time I dealt with L, it was towards the end of the day, L wanted their stuff express but didnt want to pay for it, I said that if they wanted it now, thats express "Even though there's no one else in the store?" they say as there is actively two people behind them in line. I double down that its express if they want it now. 'You're being really strict about this." L talks like early Fluttershy but worse. L is just a nightmare to deal with. So yeah, they are at the top of my ban list and honestly really the only one I want banned.

Does this count as fraud?

Location: California

I work in retail, and lately upper management has been hounding us about getting more reward sign ups. We ask, we offer, most decline. And for the most part that was fine, at least we were trying. But in the latest video meeting we had with our DM, he said "In order to make a print order, we already get all of the required information to sign them up for a rewards account. There is no reason why you cant just sign them up with that. No excuses."

In print, to place an order, we require a first and last name, phone number, and email. The same info required to sign up. How me and my other coworkers interpreted his words was that he basically wants us to take their info that they give for their print order, and just sign them up with that. That feels like fraud cus they didnt consent to signing up, just for placing an order. I dont want to do that, that feels... very wrong and sketchy, but I dont want to call him out on it cus he's the DM and I kind of like being able to pay my bills. So is this fraud or illegal in any way?
