Grime 1 was a masterpiece and Grime 2 is even better I don't even have words

What and ABSOLUTE RIDE. Clover Bite somehow said "yeah the first one was stunning, let's make it more unhinged" — and they fkn delivered.

The 2.5D setpieces are genuinely some of the most jaw-dropping environments in any soulslike, full stop. The Yadat canvas levels especially are just breathtaking. That sludgy, living-painting aesthetic made me actually want to die to revisit them more closely.

Combat feels super tight and satisf9. The abilities, the parry system, the whole "you ARE the weapon" philosophy — still hits different.

And the story... It's doing actual work. The whole arc of characters rooting for who they believe is the "good guy", while what they truly want is have them for breakfast — that's not subtle fantasy allegory, that's a mirror held up with both hands.

The Manzil/Goel ending hits harder than most games dare to go: the truth doesn't matter, the narrative does, and the "weaker" party gets framed as the aggressor regardless of reality.

Clover Bite are a small team punching so far above their weight class it's almost embarrassing for bigger studios.

Yarden, you mad bastard...
