Satou was a child who was doing the best she could with the cards she was dealt. She didn’t lock shio into the apartment with the intention to groom shio’s entire world view to revolving around Satou. Satou’s lived experience was that everybody rly fucking sucks and nobody could be trusted. she thought Shio was naive and didn’t think she was ready to be able to handle that on her own yet which was proven when she was entertaining Taiyou and almost went home with that freaky fuck. this whole narrative falls apart after their major argument occurs and Shio confides in Satou that she’s treating her like everyone else did and not like a partner. but that she was some pure delicate doll that needed to be displayed in glass casing. Satou completely fixed this behavior and treated Shio as if she was an equal. the issue was there are just certain things Satou knew that shio didn’t know how to deal with or handle. which can be said about any relationship. just because Satou guides Shio doesn’t mean she’s controlling her. also side note i hate ppl dumbing satou down to “pedophile slop” when literally she reaffirms to Shio that she loves Shio despite not being as “pure” as before and getting older and more independent. the problem everyone else had is that they didn’t care of Shio just the idea of what her purity could do for them. yes even Asahi and Yuuna. not just Taiyou . Satos love for Shio was not based around her maintaining her naivety.

anyways tldr : not every mistake you make makes you an abuser. humans are flawed. especially ones who lived a life as traumatic as Satou’s. Shio is a victim but not Satou’s victim. that’s disgusting to even imply imo. and yes even after satou’s death shio is hung up on her but that’s literally so common for people in love?? so many ppl never remarry after their soulmate dies. why would Shio? acting like it’s Satous fault Shio can’t truly move on from her is crazy. true love doesn’t just magically disappear once ur partner is gone for a extended amount of time. and also shio’s options for satous replacement are very slim pickings lmao. everybody STILL really fucking sucks. i mean she ends up also getting her neck sliced open just trying to buy a teddy bear.
