i feel crazy; i don't know if i'm in the wrong, but i feel like she's crashing out at me for no reason. did i do something? every time she texts me i can just feel myself tensing up.
He and I are both trans men and young adults, and he's ranted to me a couple of times about the transandrophobia that's prevelant in real life and online trans communities. sometimes he'll bring up a crazy take made by a trans woman he's come across for us to chuckle at together. i get that i get why he's frustrated. he's very enthusiastic about transmasculinity in general and advocates a lot, so it makes sense why transandrophobia would irk him as much as it does. but sometimes he says things like "some trans women piss me off" and how seeing some trans women have those takes about trans men makes him feel less solidarity with trans women generally. neither him nor i know many trans women in real life, but he's had years-long beef with this one young woman for reasons unrelated to transness. she isn't a good person, but i'm worried his experience with her is starting to shape his view of trans women in general. do you think he has a point, or is this just transmisogyny?
