Abandoned Kings Park Psychiatric Center

The Disney Land of Urbex. Kings Park Psychiatric Center in Long Island, NY. We finally made it here after many years of attempting to make trips out to it. It’s truly unbelievable how massive this campus is. At one point the campus housed over 10,000 patients across more than 100 buildings on a 800 + acre property. Sitting abandoned for 30 years our goal was to find our way in the infamous building 93. What ended up turning into a two day mission because of the size & security presence this ended up turning into one of our favorite explorations to date. If you’d like to check out our full exploration of this place, here’s the link to our video: https://youtu.be/-wIbJCWNREs?is=IcN6cPPB3yoNxK4J

Abandoned Shipwreck Exploration

Came across these two abandoned ships that have been decaying for the last 30 + years now. Of course we had to climb all the way to the top for the best view. Thankfully a local couple was nice enough to bring us out to explore them. If you’d like to watch the video here’s the link: https://youtu.be/lAMH2G-IjnA?is=4TjUN\_97CBOe83CU

Abandoned Subway System

The Cincinnati Subway is one of the most fascinating abandoned projects in the U.S, a subway system that was built but never used.

Construction started in the early 1900s as a solution to Cincinnati’s growing transportation problems. The plan was for a 16-mile rapid transit system, but only about 2 miles of tunnels and several stations were completed.
The project was plagued by rising costs, political disagreements, and delays. By the time funding ran out, cars were becoming more popular and the Great Depression made finishing the subway impossible. The tunnels sat abandoned for decades and never carried a single passenger.

Today, the Cincinnati Subway remains one of the largest abandoned subway systems in America, a massive underground reminder of a transportation dream that never happened.
