Cintiq 22HD cracked glass - who has had success with replacing?

So I ordered a secondhand Cintiq 22HD in great condition. But... the seller packed it poorly (did not have original box, insufficient padding, and way too much rattle space in box) and it was damaged in shipping. The glass panel is badly cracked along three sides with small chunks breaking off along the bottom.

With it being a non-laminated display, as I understand from this post it shouldn't be overly complicated to replace the glass panel yourself. 1/16inch/ 1.59mm glass I think should be easy enough to find.

But I am curious if anyone has had success doing it themselves? Easy enough? Any particular challenges to brace for? If no heatgun to loosen glue, will hairdryer do the trick?

Otherwise tablet seems to be in good working order. No issues with the actual display.
Also.... buyer protection on the purchase served me well xD

Huion’s Kamvas Pro 16 V2 - same design, upgraded pen

The Kamvas Pro 16 V2 gets a refresh with the main difference earlier model being that it now comes with Huion’s PenTech 4.0. It’s currently on sale for US$300 which makes it quite an affordable option.

Some quick points…
- only 1920 x 1080 resolution.
- included pen is the PW600A with 16k pressure levels and 2g initial activation force.
- generally handled light lines well but got some jagged lines when drawing zoomed out on a high-res canvas
- solid build quality
- tablet buttons and slider are a bit limited but you can get more from them if you are able to customise the shortcuts in your drawing software
- unfortunately only uses 3-in-1 cable, and does not support a single usb-c to usb-c connection
