Have you guys ever experienced a game almost dying, but then it has come back stronger than ever?

Personally, I play bsd mayoi (AKA: Bungo stray dogs: Tales Of The Lost) and it's been dead. The customer service is very active, but I'm not gonna show it because of privacy reasons. So, I've been wondering, have any games reached a point of near-death like no banners, events, etc and then after some time it comes back?
