Common House closing?

Just received this email from Common House. Not entirely sure what to make of it - seems like it will be closing? Or transitioning to a new “club”? The email isn’t totally clear, but maybe I’m just missing it.

EDIT: Confirming they are just changing the club name and the club is not closing, no changes to memberships. They responded back to me super fast! Thanks CH team.

“To Our Valued Common House Members,

I am writing to share an important update regarding the future of our club. Our current agreement with ownership has come to an end, as we were unfortunately unable to agree on a sustainable, long-term solution. While we had sincerely hoped to establish a longer term at this location, that ultimately was not an option, and Common House will soon be transitioning out of the club's operations.

It is with immense pride that I reflect on our collective achievements, especially the transformative progress seen over the last year and a half. Throughout 2025, we witnessed a profound resurgence in our community, reversing previous trends with a net increase of more than 350 members. This momentum has continued into 2026, marking a period of growth that surpassed every previous year in the club's history, second only to our inaugural opening.

This growth was driven by a wave of meaningful changes we initiated together, from revitalized club programming and elevated Food & Beverage experiences to the introduction of our exceptional, A-plus management team. Our team has successfully built an amazing platform, and while Common House will no longer be at the club, I am genuinely excited to watch its next chapter unfold.

Any club is a truly special place, and that is never because of how beautiful the building is or the premium amenities it provides. A club is defined entirely by its people—especially you, our members. I have been incredibly fortunate to meet many of you firsthand, and watching the unique combination of your shared experiences and the growth of our incredible staff has been an absolute pleasure.

While I am not personally aware of the ownership's future plans for the space, I remain deeply hopeful and will fully support a smooth, seamless transition for everyone involved. I want to extend my deepest, most sincere gratitude to Lisa Lane and her phenomenal team who will remain in place through the transition and beyond. They have made a monumental impact on our membership, our staff, and our company as a whole, and I will be forever grateful for their dedication and heart.

Thank you for being the heartbeat of this community, and I wish each and every one of you the absolute best for the future.

With warm regards and sincere gratitude,
Ben Wood, Chief Executive Officer, Common House”

Time to start getting those steps in!!

You will be walking 20-30k steps a day, on the lower end possibly. Don’t let Thursday be the first day you’ve walked! Your body will hurt regardless, but not making it such a shock to your system will be really helpful.

And, pro tip - if you’re at all able to start sleep training now, I suggest going to sleep a bit later each night and aim for 3-5am the last few days leading up. I know this is largely not doable since we all need sleep to work and take care of life (boooo), but again every little bit helps!

Can’t wait to see you all in 2 weeks!! BONNAROOOOOOOOO
