Dear David Splane,

What the hell is the point of extrapolating on unborn babies if you don't know? Do you have ANY IDEA how this might land with a woman who has just had to deliver a stillborn child?!?! Do you have ANY IDEA of the trauma? The grief? The hurt? Do you have ANY IDEA how it would then feel to hear your trusted religious leader say that child only MIGHT be resurrected? WHERE is your EMPATHY? WHERE is your COMPASSION?

WHAT is wrong with you?

Stick to the teaching of JESUS, and SHUT. THE. HELL. UP. about things you don't know SHIT about.

JW Pressroom posted about JWs being doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc. If they in fact want that to be their image, then their followers need to be encouraged to go to college. Lay off discouraging education or pursuing "secular" things. Clearly the IMAGE they want to present is that they ARE secular. If that's the image they want, they need the rhetoric to back it up.

Also, there's the very misleading presentation of disaster response. JWs aren't encouraged to help the community, but to help other JWs. (The pandemic food distribution to JW ONLY is a perfect example)

Rebuilding Kingdom Halls isn't being there for your community like the post says they are. If they really want to be there for your community then they need to stop building walls with "them" and "us" thinking, stop vilifying "worldly" people. Encourage followers participate in community volunteering, interfaith efforts to help with food distribution, homelessness, etc.

If they ACTUALLY did these things on a large, organization wide scale, THERE WOULD BE NO NEED FOR SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS. Because people would SEE it. They'd see JWs out there helping others, becoming doctors, passing out food, stacking sandbags, etc. If they really want this reputation, then they have to have the words and the action to BACK IT UP.

Otherwise, it's just PROPAGANDA.
