SCAM ALERT

Some people have already been asking about this so I thought I’d send out a warning:
Cracker Barrel is NOT having a sale on calico critters! If you google ‘calico critters’ right now, you may see a sponsored result for this website pretending to be Cracker Barrel. If you look at the URL, it is NOT the correct site (they try to trick you by slightly misspelling the URL).
This website is trying to steal your credit card number, you will not get the critters.
The real Cracker Barrel does sell them, but at full price, no free shipping.

TO REPORT:
The US has a site to report fraud (including fake sites like this one). I’ll post the link in the comments, but you can just google “report fake website”. You do not have to be in the US to report, and you can report anonymously.

Remember, the old adage is true: if it’s too good to be true, it probably is! Calico critters are at an all time high price, and people will try to prey on anyone looking for a deal. Stay safe out there.

Upgrade cost worries

Tale as old as time: Bought a 12mini when it first came out— 6 years on, my 12 has been having major issues (overheating and battery life, even after 2 Apple battery replacements), plus need to upgrade storage capacity (128 to 256gig).
Struggling to decide if I should get a 13mini (refurbished
excellent/premium), or if I should bite the bullet and get something like a 16e.

I’m considering long term finances— this sub says battery replacement really prolongs the life of the mini, but I can’t find an answer on how important battery health is on a refurbished device. Is it worth an extra ~$50 USD to guarantee >90% battery health (vs slightly cheaper option of >80%)?

I love the mini, but I’m struggling to make understand if it’s going to end up costing me as much as a newer phone (long term), if I have to get multiple battery replacements over the next 3ish years.

TLDR: Want to upgrade from 12mini to 13mini, but fear needing to replace battery will end up costing more than a new phone (like 16e), long term. Is extra 10% battery health worth $50, if I buy refurbished?
