Anyone else sick with a virus right now in South Jersey?

What virus do you have, and what are your symptoms?

I'm in Camden County. I have no respiratory symptoms, but I feel unwell as the way I felt during Covid. I'll take a test soon. I was curious what was currently going around.

I have severe fatigue, a headache, constant body aches, skin pain, malaise, lethargy, chills, hot surges, wooziness, nausea, lack of appetite, queasy feeling, sluggish feeling, and near comatose at times. The fatigue is the most severe of my symptoms. Anyone else?

Questions for people with very severe CFS

I'm posting this for a friend and he'll be able to read the replies.

For those who are extremely severe and bedbound with ME/CFS:

I’m struggling with routines, caregiving, and energy management. Even necessary care can consume energy I’d rather use for resting or simply letting my mind wander. Sometimes even changing position can trigger a crash and leave me in pain.

I’m curious:

  • What does a typical day look like for you?
  • Are your routines and schedules strict, flexible, or somewhere in between?
  • What do you spend most of your time thinking about? Do you daydream, focus on symptoms, or stay very aware of your surroundings?
  • Do you use mental anchors or systems to organize your thoughts, or do you mostly let your mind drift?
  • How do you balance controlling your impulses and pacing versus conserving mental energy?
  • Do your caregivers follow a very predictable routine, or do new things happen each day?
  • When do you usually choose to receive food and care—when you’re calm and relaxed, or when adrenaline is already helping you function?

I’m very interested in hearing how people at the most severe end of ME/CFS actually live day to day and what has worked best for them.

43/f/New Jersey — disabled & looking for a local friend

Hello, I'm a 43-year-old female from Erial, New Jersey, and I'm looking for a local friend. I have a lot of internet friends, but I'm missing in person connection and feel so isolated. Is anyone local?

Attention: NJ people with illness or disabilities & caregivers!

Does anyone in this group have a disability or illness, or are you a caregiver? I made a community for people in New Jersey & Pennsylvania who are living with chronic illness or disabilities, as well as caregivers.

I started this Discord community because I noticed there aren't many places where people can connect in real time. There are many Facebook groups, but I wanted to create a community where people can chat, make friends, ask questions, share resources, vent about difficult days, celebrate victories, and simply feel less alone.

Whether you're living with a chronic illness, have a disability, or care for someone who does, you're welcome to join.

This is intended to be a supportive, judgment-free environment where people can be honest about what they're going through and connect with others who understand. Pls vent away!!

If you're interested, feel free to join:
