Career path

I'm an 18-year-old student from Pakistan and I'm genuinely stuck between two career paths.

I have admission opportunities for:

- BBA from IBA Karachi

- BS Computer Science from FAST

The important thing is that I have the aptitude and interest to succeed in either field, so this isn't a case of choosing based on what I'm capable of. I'm trying to choose the path that offers the best long-term return.

My long-term goal is financial success. I'm interested in both business and technology.

Here are the two paths I'm considering:

Option 1: BBA from IBA → ACCA (I'll definitely pursue ACCA alongside or after BBA) → MBA later if needed → Build a career in finance, consulting, accounting, or corporate leadership.

Option 2: BS Computer Science from FAST → Build strong software/AI skills → High-paying tech job (possibly abroad or remote).

I'm willing to work hard regardless of the path I choose. My biggest concerns are long-term earning potential, career growth, global opportunities, job security, work-life balance, and overall ROI.

If you were in my position today, which path would you choose and why?

I'd especially appreciate advice from:

- IBA BBA graduates

- FAST CS graduates

- People who've completed ACCA

- Recruiters

- Entrepreneurs

- Anyone who's worked in both business and tech

Please share your reasoning and real-world experiences instead of simply saying "follow your passion." I'm looking for practical, unbiased advice from people who've been through these paths.
