Prune new trunk growth?
I’m very terrified of pruning anything on my JM because I’ve seen people get dragged for pruning it wrong. I’ve just been letting this grow since I’ve bought this house 6 years ago but I recently noticed a couple branches of new growth. Do I leave them?

I’m getting 5 old large dying silver maples taken out of my front yard and I want to replace them with privacy for my large den window. I would like to make it look nice from the street too. Is my plan a good idea? Would you change anything?
My only concerns are the right dogwood tree will be over the sewer line but I’m not sure the roots will go that far down (further than the silver maple) and there aren’t many people that block off their front yard with trees
