Scientific Nitrous Oxide Study
We are looking for subjects in a research study about nitrous oxide. As you may or may not know, nitrous oxide, is being sold recreationally at alarming levels in many American States, and has become a serious concern in the past few years.
Previously, most illicit nitrous was from tiny whipped cream chargers intended for culinary use. Or bigger tanks diverted from legal applications such as dentistry and large food manufacturing.
In most US States, legal loopholes allow for tanks as large as 2000g to be sold at smoke shops. Over the last few years, companies have been importing enormous amounts of the gas. These companies flavor the gas and sell it to smoke shops.
In the recovery community, we are seeing a specific form of nitrous oxide addiction that is in relation to these larger tanks diverted. Unfortunately for consumers, not only are the larger tanks easily available, there is no way to regulate oxygen so users are inhaling pure Nitrous Oxide.
