Varicocele Treatment Done - Recovery stage

Hi all. 31M here.

I just got operated on 29th June and have been recovering since.

✅ Process: Varicocele Sclerotherapy process on left, with 2 ml of 3% Äthoxysklerol

Based on my report, here are some details:

➡️1-2 degree varicocele left

➡️OAT syndrome

➡️Left testicular volume: 7ml

➡️Right testicular volume: 12ml

🛏️ Bed rest: 3 weeks recommended with icing of testicles

💊 Medicine: Novaminsulfon Lichtenstein 500mg

🇩🇪 Surgery performed in: Germany

💲Cost: covered by insurance

So far, not much pain but taking 2-3 of the recommended med per day.

Yesterday my bandage on the testicle was a little dark brown. Other than that, nothing eventful happened so far.

Happy to answer any questions you might have.

Varicocele Situation

Hi all

30 years old male here.

I had my full examination today in Germany. Doctor said it's grade 1 to 2 varicocele on my left. And believe it may be the reason my sper test wasn't good. Hoping things change post surgery. I've also been told I can have a normal life after this but 1-2 weeks recovery time is needed. I can do sports and gym later on after full Recovery.

I don't know why they won't give complete full report.

I've been told they will do the coil procedure, since cutting the enlarged veins involves risk of losing testicle completely.

I will be given local anaesthesia. Hope I survive I'm scared to stay up during the surgery.

My only question is. I have left varicocele but somehow my right leg feels heavier and am unable to walk straight anymore. It has that dull ache. But the doctor said it's unrelated to varicocele and I should get X ray or something since it may be something else. At first I thought it may be psychological but...it is real for sure. I'm so confused now. And what if the pain goes away after varicocele surgery?

Need prayers from this community.

What's post surgery (physical activity) life like?

I'm expected to undergo surgery at the end of June. I'm really worried how this will affect my fitness levels. I love doing sports and gym. Right now of course they're all affected. But what happens after surgery and post recovery phase?

Will I ever be able to lift weights, do cycling, running etc like normal? Really need to hear some success stories to get myself out of this negativity.

Any recommendations for Surgery in Germany? 🇩🇪

I'm based in Hof - a small town in Germany near Nuremberg.

I've been recommended surgery by my doctor that's based in Hof. I'm just skeptical; should I get it done from this town and the doctor here or maybe go to another city and doctor?

Since it's a very delicate surgery which affects my daily life and potential of having children, do you have any recommendations?

I don't mind traveling to other cities for surgery as long as I find a doctor that is a good one and reliable.

I've heard so many scary stories of how the docs here mess your body up. I can't risk that I'm young 30 years old I have a life ahead of me I can't risk getting it wasted by the docs here.

Supplements before Surgery?

My surgery is due at the end of June.

I am yet to have a final meeting with the doctor 1 week before surgery. Until then I guess I just have to wait since getting doctor appointments in Germany are just horrible.

I'm thinking I should start supplements either way. What do you recommend? Coq10, omega 3?

Further tests await.

Doctor says problem is with my left testicle but very very recently (for 1 week now) I feel some heaviness/pain on my right testicle and close to it the upper thigh. Feeling not so comfortable while walking. Anyone facing similar situation?

I can't wait to get this treated ASAP really worried what's happening to me all of a sudden I was feeling normal for ages now.
