Five RFX4 Evo - too big or just right?

I just received my first pair of gloves and I'm not quite sure how the fit should feel.

When I put them on, I did feel a bit of resistance when making it through the wrist area but after that they felt snug around the wrist and didn't come off very easily. There is some looseness around the palm area when my fingers are bent though.

My thumb, pointer and middle fingers reach the ends of the glove quite comfortably and feel somewhat snug, but the ring and pinky have quite a bit of free room. I made a little crease where my pinky finger ends, above the crease is free room (2nd picture). I have a size 2XL and if I were to downsize to XL, I feel like my fingertips would dig into the glove.

I also sat with the gloves on gripping the handlebars of a bicycle for around 20 minutes to see how they feel and did not feel any tightness or discomfort, my thumb did not fatigue.

I've heard that gloves should be snug and feel "like a second skin", but there are some loose areas on my hand (palm, ring and pinky fingers). Is having such looseness in the glove normal? Should I keep them or return?

Beginner motorcycle gear sanity check before buying

I'm trying to get my A2 license this summer. I will be taking the course in July and my driving school requires me to bring my own helmet and gloves. So I figured that I'd buy the helmet, gloves, and boots first and the jacket and pants sometime later, since the driving school provides armor that attaches to any clothes. Eventually, I plan to buy a street bike and will mostly ride in the city and local roads (up to ~100km/h). I plan to ride in summer, where average daily temperatures range from 18C to 25C with occasional heatwaves. I've done a fair bit of research and just wanted to make sure that my gear choice makes sense. I'd like to fit into a 600€ budget for my whole setup.

Helmet: Scorpion EXO-491/LS2 Stream II (~130€) or HJC C10 (~95€). I'll just see what fits best in the store. I may even get a Scorpion EXO-520 Evo Air (~150€), it seems to be heavily discounted from it's original price and quite feature-rich. The Scorpion and LS2 helmets seem more appealing to me because of the integrated sun visor. Is that worth paying a premium compared to the HJC helmet if all fit well?

Gloves: Shima RS-3 (~110€). They are gauntlet style, CE 1KP, and have a palm slider, which as far as I understood are the most important safety features. Initially I was interested in the Lindstrands Bergby for the same price, but they seem to be missing a plastic palm slider, even though they are rated CE 2KP. Or I was also thinking about Five RFX4 EVOs for the same price, but those can only be ordered online.

Boots: Shima RSX-6 (~155€). I've heard longer boots are recommended for beginners. These are also CE 2222. I was considering RST TracTech Evo 3's (~165€), but they're only CE 2221 and have a similar problem to the gloves - can only be ordered.

Jacket and pants: ~200€ left. Haven't decided yet, but will probably look for something AA rated with level 1 armor from more well-known brands. Textile jacket and armored jeans.

I don't know if the gloves and boots are overkill. I guess I can get something cheaper for the lessons, but obviously more protection is better and I'd like to buy something that I will actually use in the future and not immediately replace. Am I spending too much on anything? Should I be ordering some gear online or is trying everything out in store the way to go?
