[discussion] paper quality when selling work

Hi,

Relatively recently am feeling like I could finally sell some work at art fairs, etc.

Ive fallen in love with charcoal and I always feel so terrible using “good paper” for practice. Sometimes when I practice i end up loving it, and want to sell it or make prints.

Has anyone sold practice drawings? If so was it on lower quality paper, like newsprint? What is the ethics around this? To me, I assume just marking it a little cheaper than other high quality paper works and youre good to go, would like to hear thoughts and opinions!

Bouquet Critique Please

I made this for my mom for mothers day… better late then never I guess. I would like to have some feedback please, thinking of sending it off to print tomorrow and have some time on my flight to work on it. Would greatly appreciate comments/suggestions! Trying to go for an oil painting/painterly style

Is this fixable?

After basically completing everything I realized all the features are too small for the faces, the left face is better but the right eye needs to go down to the right a bit which is why the nose feels so wrong.

Is it possible to fix this or should i redo it? (This is already my second attempt, which is a bit better than the first but not where I want it to be

Second time using charcoal

What fixatif do you use? I tried the workable fixatif by krylon and it still is smudging.
