I've been interested in playing TBS for a while but after hearing it alters your desktop it kinda put me off.
Is there a way to turn off that feature or the very least sandbox the program so it cant
I can never tell what's just hyped up speculation and what is actually true sometimes since ive just realised we actually have no way of knowing or being able to tell if the knight is gonna even be revealed next chapter, but if im wrong, please correct me.
Speaking of the knight, it cant be anyone from hometown, not even dess, there is no way.
The arguments against each lightner is too overwhelming in my opinion, maybe it's asriel since we just don't have enough info to work with for him but thats his best piece of evidence, my money is on papyrus or another one of gaster's offspring like friend or the goners
I'm new to undertale/deltarune (kind of) and I see a character called gaster reoccuring in lore but who even is he, why do we know so little about him and why/how do we know hes the voice in the character creation screen?
Ok so I just beat the weird route, didn't spare any darkners either just for that extra flavour and I'm confused.
I'll give my own interpretation first but if you're not interested, please scroll to the questions on the last section of this post.
MY INTERPRETATION:
So the way I see Deltarune's overall moral to take away as a player is that destiny isn't defined and that with enough determination (haha) you can change things. At least this is how I see the standard route.
In the weird route, I've seen people say it's "just restoring the prophecy to how it originally was" but I disagree, it's a very intentional route even more so than the standard route, it's not something you would happen do unlike even the genocide route in undertale where a player might try and farm XP like in any other RPG, you have to do an almost ritualistic set of actions.
I think the story gets flipped on it's head entirely in the weird route, in the standard route, it's pure light (you) going around and restoring balance to darkness that overextends and expands. In the weird route, there's too much light that's overextending and growing leading to an imbalance, you aren't just trying to change fate but the game itself and I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of the weird route, some kind of distilled or absolute darkness tries to balance things out against you.
Like instead of the roaring, its the rapturing instead or something
QUESTIONS:
Why is Noelle so significant? why are we targeting HER?
At what point does Kris stop enjoying the weird route and why? The black cape thing with the shadow mantle explicitly says "just like you enjoyed yesterday because you could say it wasn't you", obviously referring to the weird route, but in chapter 4 Kris beats us up in a bin???
Surely Ralsei knows something is wrong? Where is he in all of this?
What are your opinions on the end goal of the weird route? I'm interested in other theories.
Before you all throw rotten tomatoes at me, I'm new to deltarune and undertale (kind of) having only recently played the games so I don't know what info exists if it's already out there.
Suffice to say though, I'm a massive fan.
I know chapter 5 is near release since we're half way through 2026 but is there any info, easter eggs, in-game references or even word of mouth from the developers about chapter 6?
The pink turtle gerson made a small nod to chapter 6 in the secret boss battle but chapter 7 was completely left out.
