I’m from India and currently in China with a Samsung Android phone. I’m unable to install or use Alipay, DiDi, or WeChat. Google Play isn’t working, and even the official Alipay APK won’t install.
Has anyone faced this? What’s the easiest fix while in China? Or how is it exactly done? Am I missing something?

I'm applying for a Single Entry Tourist (L) visa through the Mumbai China Visa Centre with Express Service.

I've already paid the ₹3,106 VFS service fee online. My order summary now shows:

• Visa Fee: ₹4,400
• Express Fee: ₹1,800
• Total Visa Fee: ₹6,200

I thought the embassy visa fee for a Single Entry visa was ₹2,900.

(1) Is ₹4,400 the correct current visa fee?
(2) And since I've already paid the VFS fee online, do I only pay the ₹6,200 at the Visa Centre?
(3) Where can I find the exact amount to carry ( since it says CASH only )
(4) Also, can we take our phone with us?

Also saw another applicant's final receipt where the VFS service fees were included on the receipt at the Visa Centre, whereas I've already paid my ₹3,106 online.

My trip is fully sponsored by my sister in the U.S., and I've already submitted her sponsorship letter and financial documents.

They've now asked me to submit 6 months of savings bank statements with a closing balance of ₹100,000, stamped and signed by the bank.

Has anyone experienced this? Is the ₹100,000 requirement mandatory even for fully sponsored applicants, or were your sponsor's financial documents accepted?

• Custom doors and wall paneling
• Vanities and wardrobes
• Reception desks and built-in furniture
• Architectural metalwork, stone, and other custom fabrication

I'll be arriving in Guangzhou on Friday morning and plan to spend Friday through Sunday in the Lecong/Foshan area.

A few questions:

• Are the custom millwork and fabrication showrooms/factories open on Saturdays and Sundays?

2. I’m sponsoring my brother’s trip and would prefer to show my bank statements instead of his. Has anyone done this successfully? What documents did you submit (sponsorship letter, relationship proof, etc.)?
3. We’re traveling independently and already have hotel bookings. Do we still need an invitation letter, or are hotel reservations + itinerary enough for an L visa?
4. We are flying into Hong Kong and then taking the train to Guangzhou/Mainland China. Should we upload train tickets from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, or are flight bookings into Hong Kong sufficient?

I’m hearing a lot of mixed information recently regarding delays and jurisdiction rules, so wanted to ask people who have applied recently:

1. Since Karnataka falls under Mumbai jurisdiction, is it still mandatory to apply through Mumbai?
2. Has anyone from Bangalore successfully applied through Delhi or Kolkata recently?
3. Are tourist visas also currently getting delayed a lot or is it just the M visa?
4. Would you recommend applying on my own or using a visa/travel agent?

I’m applying for a Chinese tourist (L) visa through the Washington DC embassy. My application status is now “Passport to be submitted.”

I saw that as of Jan 1, 2024, tourist visa applicants in the U.S. are no longer required to submit: round-trip flight bookings, hotel reservations, itinerary, invitation letter

So I’m a bit confused about what to actually bring for the in-person submission apart from the passport + printed application form + $140 USD?

For those who recently applied in DC:

• What documents did you actually submit at the embassy?
• Did they ask for any supporting docs anyway (flight/hotel/etc.)?
• Is it really just passport + printed application form now?

Would love to hear recent experiences so I don’t miss anything. Thanks in advance!
