Definitely hope to build a shop in the backyard in the next year or two.. but this works for now, I have a little metal working area in front of the lift, then the mini mill and lathe are across from my workbench and the rest is honestly just whatever I can fit wherever I can fit it.. but I have decent size powder coat oven crammed in there as well as a plasma table I've not really used because it's so hard to get to at the moment. I installed a Senville mini split last month so at least it's comfortable to work in there.

Update: Aivela Ring for controlling Rokid AI Glasses

Well, after a lengthly wait, I have finally received my Aivela ring from the Kickstarter campaign. As a basic smart ring, I'm pretty satisfied. It seems to collect health information just fine. But for controlling the Rokid glasses I'm at a stand still.

It seems the ring can only connect to one bluetooth device simultaneously. So when the ring is connected to the phone, it can't connect to the glasses. The glasses have to be connected to the phone to work, so I can't just turn off the bluetooth on the phone.

I am currently trying to determine whether the ring needs to be connected to the phone at all times. I was thinking of installing the Aivela app on my ipad rather than my phone, but then I would only be connecting to the ring intermittently. I'm hoping it would store the data and then download to the app when it connects? This way the ring could stay connected to the glasses and the glasses would stay connected to the phone. I would assume most other smart glasses are the same?

Come on global ai servers!!!

I have really loved these glasses. I’ve been wearing them almost every day for several months but now they just do not work at all for at least the last week. I’m located in the Midwest.

Is there a way to have the glasses take a photo then send it to someone via mms?

In other words ‘hi Rokid. Take a photo and send it to xxxxx’

That’s probably the number one thing i find myself wanting to do that I’m unable to. I set up long press to bring ip Siri and that works great just for sending messages to someone from my contacts, but obviously Siri can’t operate the camera on the glasses.

Event reminders only come up at the time of the event

The app is picking up all of my appointments from my phone calendar, but I only get notifications from the Hi Rokid app on my glasses at the exact time of the event in the phone calendar. These are all set for a reminder, 30 minutes prior to the time of the event in the phone calendar. I couldn’t find any settings actually in the Rokid app to change the notification time.

Am I missing something?

Does Immortal work on 1st gen Portal Plus

Sorry, haven’t kept up on all of the recent developments but I do have one I’d like to do something with. What happens with the rotating function? Is that just deprecated?

Is there any shortcut to identify all of the IoT devices on a network

When I was young and dumb, I neglected to set up a separate network for all of my smart home devices and now I would like to go back and remedy that but I have 92 clients on the WiFi (Unifi) and some of them are going to be really hard to sort out.

Is there any sort of app or shortcut to easily identify all of the IOT devices on the network versus the computers and other things?

I got a new smart tv and I'm using all of the streaming apps on the tv itself instead of a separate box so the AI box was no longer an option. So far it's been a complete fail. The AI box just worked and I have done the calibration on this one multiple times and it still just seems to want to do random colors in at least one corner no matter what. I need to spend some more time with it, though.

Anyone got any basic tips that might help? It will just randomly turn green in one corner when everything on screen is shades of red, etc.

Necessary? No, not really.

Satisfying? You know it! I’ve been piecing all of the dies together to have a complete set. Last two are still on the way.

I am continuously getting emails promoting kickstarters for the same items that have been on sale on Alibaba, AliExpress heck even Amazon for a year or longer.

One example is these screwdriver sets
