Have you heard about the Township Halls?

If you have been looking to provide quality, constructive feedback or are just looking for a place to make positive change, the St. Charles County Democratic Central Committee is launching Democratic Township Halls across the county. These township halls are about building stronger neighborhoods, stronger connections, and a stronger St. Charles County together.

This is your chance to:
Meet Democrats, Independents, and your community
Talk about the issues impacting your township
Discuss public education, local government, healthcare, infrastructure, and more
Share ideas that help shape our future and strengthen our local movement

Find your township and RSVP for your local session today:
RSVP Here: https://forms.gle/VCPYvvejaFTzftxK6

Local organizing starts with listening. Whether you’ve been involved for years or are just looking for a place to start, you are invited to join the conversation.

Your voice matters. Your community matters. And the future of St. Charles County depends on all of us showing up together.

SB1002 on State House Docket Today! CALL YOUR REPS!!!

Throughout this legislative session, politicians in Jefferson City have continued efforts to weaken public education. We have seen public schools shortchanged in the state budget, more taxpayer dollars shifted to private schools, and now an attempt to make school board elections partisan and move them to the November ballot.

School board elections in Missouri have traditionally remained nonpartisan and are held during municipal elections so voters can focus on local candidates and local school issues outside of the noise and cost of November election cycles. These are volunteer, unpaid positions, and candidates should not be expected to raise the kind of money needed to compete in partisan November elections.

SB1002 would change that by making school board elections partisan and moving school board races, along with bond and levy issues, to the November general election. What is especially concerning is that this version of the bill specifically targets only school districts in St. Charles County.

This is not what many St. Charles voters, parents, and educators want for our schools.

On Saturday, No Kings reached into 3,300+ communities in every single congressional district, including more than 600 for the first time. More than 1 of every 50 Americans showed up. The energy to defeat Trump and the billionaires is there. Now, we need to convert it into power.

May Day Strong organizers are calling for a higher level of commitment for the next day of protest, collective action for May 1st. We're holding a full national shutdown: no work, no school, no commerce. And we’re going beyond rejecting Trump’s oligarchic project to propose one of our own: a real affordability agenda with detailed policy proposals to build multiracial democracy, change the economic rules in our country and put the good life within everyone’s reach.

The build is well under way. Let's make sure we do our part.

We can take the pledge to strike here, and start asking folks around us to do the same.

We can find out what's involved in hosting an action here - 3300 won't come easy.

We can read the full people's agenda here.

And we can join a mass call to learn more on Thursday, April 9th here.
