I know it was hot as blazes, and many had waited out for hours before the show in the heat, so it was great to see so many of you again!
Too bad the good times are now behind us, but it WAS a great show and a fun night!
For us fans of Japanese Rock and metal, we still have both BABYMETAK and Band Maid (hopefully) to look forward to this fall, so until then, take care, and see you soon!

As the title says- I originally though tthat with the show being on a Frdiay night and a holiday weekend, that my work schedule woyld not allow for me to attend the show.
My schedule at work jist changed, giving me Fridays off, so now I can go to the show, AND attend the party!
So, if amyone has an extra VIP for the NYC show, I would be interested in obtaining one, as I would like to invite the girls to the party (Nemophila did attend my 2023 after party in Houston for a brief visit amd photo op for the fans)
I am SO HAPPY to announce this after party, which is being thrown in a partnership with the concert venue themselves!
The Meadows is VERY GRACIOUSLY lettimg us co tinue our night after the show across the street at their party space, THE ATTIC!
They have veen EXTREMELY receptive, and will even play our music playlist (I can take any requests in the comments for musoc choices...) AND Kevin, our host from the venue- has said he will post the invite for our party during the show on their video screens, so they are gonna help spread the word as well (very appreciated to see the hosting venue get behind our party!)

I am in talks with Brookpyn Meadows to host us on site after the concert, or at theor adjacent spot across the street- The Attic.

I cannot PROMISE anything, but... I have thrown almost 60 of these after concert events whenever the Japanese metal bands tour the US and EU/UK since 2016. The ONLY time one of the bands came to the party was the 2023 Houston NEMO0HILA after party, which was also held at tye concert venue...
Many often point to 2016 as BABYMETAL's "best" or "biggest" year.
The hype HERE was certianly palatable
And we ALL know that 2018 was (at the very least) tumultuous, and in many cases, even DIVISIVE amongst the fanship.
THEN, we had covid, a shutdown of the concert industry, AND THE WORLD.
EVEN AFTER covid, after BABYMETAL was (thankfully) able to take a bow and celebrate their 10 year decade anniversary ar Budokan, they sealed themselves away for a full year while other bands were getting out there and touring again.
Upon comimg back, BABYMETAL reinvemted themselves, reunited as a teio again with MOMOMETAL, amd has been working with some VERY big names, as well as sime new friends.
So, what are the differemces from what mamy older fans claim was their landmark year of 2016, as a fastly rising force in METAL, AND a group that absolutely killed it at Tokyo Dome after thoer second album, and their now- with their new position as being an ESTABLISHED and resɛected metal acts whose star STILL seems to be rising?

While 2026 holds a LOT of BIG ten year anniversaries for BABYMETAL, since 2016 was a BANNER year to he a fan, it holds a few particularly big anniversaries for me as a fan as well.
Today, I celebrate the 10 year anniversary of organizing and hosting my first BABYMETAL After Concert party. (It was also the first time I was able to see BABYMETAL perform a headlining show!)

In going to MY first show, I had seen that parties had been thrown for precious shows, and since I work in nightlife and venue management, and was managing a bar at the time, figured I could throw a party for the fans, amd had the venue to do it in. So, I embarked on my first party. Since I was also going to Philly, I decoded why not try to throw one there as well!
The NYC show was a GREAT TIME!!! Seeing BABYMETAL live was pretty much not only what I thought it would be, but even better! And, being able to see 50-60 fans gather together afterwards made it even a little bit extra special! Being able to gather with some of the same folks- amd some new friends in Philly at our after party was also a GREAT way to end a very special day.
The following year, when BABYMETAL toured with Red Hot Chili Peppers, my NYC BABYMETAL friends decoded to Road trip together to Washington DC to see them. I had a buddy in DC that owned a bar, so figured ‘why not do another party?’ and we had one there as well
In 2017, when the Hollywood Palladium was announced- a thread popped up here as BABYMETAL news usually does. One fot the comments was : “Fearmongert, where’s the party?”
I didn’t hesitate, and while it WAS a challenge throwing a party in a city I hadnt visited since I was a kid, within a short while I had procured a spot, and the party was on! I even decided to thrwo a pre-concert party the night before, since there was a LOT of chatter here from people flying in for the show, amd arriving early.
Both the Hollywood parties were huge successes, with the pre-party filling the bar to capacity (we actually had to spl8t into 2 parties, with half being at the after party location three doors down!)
The after party for Hollywood Palladium bacame a group effort, with u/HTWingnut , u/KitsuneDa-O, and u/Sho-TaBlu organizing a giveaway table, customized souvenir shirts for guests, and overall assistance in planning.
When I saw almost 200 people show up for the party in LA, I guess I got “hooked”- I really enjoyed seeing so many people out and enjoying themselves, and being a part of everyone’s good times. Throwing parties after shows just became a part of going to the shows, and a big part of the experience for ne has been able to put these events together.
Since 2016, I have had the pleasure of organizing and throwing events in NYC, Philly, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Charlotte, Boston, Oklahoma City, Madison, and Albuquerque here in the US, as well as parties in London, Utrecth, Tillburgh, and Amsterdam in Europe- some of them places I’ve never even been myself!
Its been 10 years, and between pre-concert and After concert parties, Ive been fortunate enough to have organized and thrown 37 parties in over a dozen cities around the world:

Being able to see photos and videos of fans I’ve never met going to parties and enjoying themselves has always been a lot of fun- knowing that I had a part in making it happen has also been very gratifying. I look back on it all as a great and rewarding experience. I truly hope that Ive been able to make someones special night and concert experience even a little bit more special or memorable. I know that throwing these parties have made many of my nights more enjoyable. (Even for the parties and shows I didn’t attend!)

From 2017, Mark, Roger, and Makato assisted with party plans and organizing giveaways.
Kenji, PapiMetal, and Itchie helped to spread the word to our travelling Fans from Japan.
I have partnered with my friends “C and T” for all the London parties, helping me to choose venues and spreading word the day of show in the UK.
In the Netherlands, u/Daneguy , u/Zarka-Metal, and my good man u/SilentLennue have always been hige helps to make sure the parties run well, as well as spreading word day of shows.
Here in the US, I have partnered with u/Lizzie-Metal, u/BrianNLS for parties in OKC and Madison, as well as u/Kmudametal, u/Imboredatworkdamnit have helped out with parties in Atlanta (Atalant!)
u/bonedriven013 has helped out in multiple places for multiple parties, going into pocket to print invites and hand them out as shows that I wasn’t able to attend- always a good time and a valued concert friend!
u/orbmetal and u/hereticsspork have aslo lent a hand and spread word in LA for the FORUM and Intuit Dome shows.

Also, I have to thank both u/Captainusername and u/MrTrip182 for their video editing skills- both of them put together 3 hour long videos of BABYMETAL performances and MVs that were shown at parties in the UK and LA, making the parties into BABYMETAL video watch parties, amd adding to the vents, and everyone’s fun. Thanks for helping me hopefully make everyones night even a little more memorable and enjoyable!
**Most of all- THANK YOU TO EVERYONE that has attended these parties!** - parties may need a place, music, food, drinks to happen , but what really MAKES a party are the people who attend! Without you krazy kitsunes showing up, the parties wouldn’t happen!
