How do I get this fixed?

I’m buying a flat that has been wired by open reach with the cable ending in a little button. The cable location is suboptimal. See photos.

The cable runs vertically in the middle of the wall, and is taped down with masking tape. I want it to run down to the skirting board, then right to the corner and up to the ceiling in the corner.

How does getting the cable rerouted work? Who does it and is there usually a charge for this over the cost of supplying the data?

What is the technical name of this setup?

Realistic value of a retirement flat.

Built 20 years ago. Cookie cutter footprint so the prices below are on multiple properties.

Original sale price £120,000. Highest sale price £165/175,000. (Pre COVID).Most recent sale last year £95,000, one under offer this year at £100,000. Two more available for asking price £150/155,000.

Flats take 6-9 months to sell from listing to completion but much of that is down to conveyancing delays because of slow managing agents.

Great location. Service charge makes it unmortgageable, so cash buyers only.

Need to sell. What’s a realistic price to market at?
