My first proper highway trip in the RX 450h completely changed my opinion of it

I’ve owned my RX 450h for about two years now and always appreciated how smooth and comfortable it is. Of course I drive on the highway too, but this was my first really long motorway trip since I bought it.
I honestly came away impressed. I knew it has over 300 hp combined, but I wasn’t expecting it to pull so effortlessly at higher speeds. Before I even realized it, I was at 200 km/h and it still felt planted, quiet and like it had a lot left.
No, I wasn’t trying to hypermile. And yes, I know the fuel consumption goes up, and I know some people will say “that’s not what a Lexus is meant for.” Fair enough.
I’m just saying this trip completely changed my perception of the car. Until now I always thought of it as a smooth and comfortable luxury SUV. After spending hours on the motorway, I realized just how effortlessly it covers long distances at high speeds.
