Rx350 2015

Hello everyone,
I have a 2015 Lexus RX 350 and I am looking for ideas on modifications to give it a sportier, more modern look.
I am interested in both exterior and interior upgrades. The interior, especially the dashboard, feels a bit dated compared to newer models, so I would love to hear what people have done to modernise it. I am also open to suggestions for wheels, body kits, lighting, suspension, or any other tasteful modifications that improve the overall appearance without compromising reliability.
If you have photos of your build or can recommend good brands or parts, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Easter egg ? Or windshield issue

Passenger just pointed this out to me. Didn’t notice it before. Just wondering if this is some sort of Easter egg or is my windshield messed up. It’s on a 2026 rx350 passenger side bottom

My first proper highway trip in the RX 450h completely changed my opinion of it

I’ve owned my RX 450h for about two years now and always appreciated how smooth and comfortable it is. Of course I drive on the highway too, but this was my first really long motorway trip since I bought it.
I honestly came away impressed. I knew it has over 300 hp combined, but I wasn’t expecting it to pull so effortlessly at higher speeds. Before I even realized it, I was at 200 km/h and it still felt planted, quiet and like it had a lot left.
No, I wasn’t trying to hypermile. And yes, I know the fuel consumption goes up, and I know some people will say “that’s not what a Lexus is meant for.” Fair enough.
I’m just saying this trip completely changed my perception of the car. Until now I always thought of it as a smooth and comfortable luxury SUV. After spending hours on the motorway, I realized just how effortlessly it covers long distances at high speeds.

2023 Lexus GX 460 Rust issue

Looking to buy a 2023 Lexus GX 460 in northern Ohio. I know the road salt can do some damage but I looked at one today and found some under carriage rust. Does this look normal for a 2023 or should I be concerned? Thanks.

What would be your max mileage on a first gen RX450h?

European here, but nobody is driving lexuses here so thought id ask you guys.

My current family car will be all paid and done for next year and i am looking to upgrade to an rx450h (first gen).
Thing is i dont have tons of money but i also dont want to be stupid cheap and end up with a bunch of expensive repairs/ big service costs.

So, what would you recommend me to look for mileage wise?
There are not alot of rx450h’s here in Sweden so i dont have tons to choose from, but the high mileage ones (15k miles+) go for about 9-10k usd and the low mileage ones are about double that but i cant afford those.

Any big services or serious issues related to mileage i should look out for? I am mostly concerned about battery life and change, i dont even know if the lexus dealers here even do that sort if work on such old cars.

Is it to risky to buy a high mileage rx450h? Should i just stick it out a while longer and save up for a low mileage one instead?

Is this car worth $2900?

Checked it out yesterday, had 160k miles and owner has had it for 8 years. Is there any major issues on the 2002 RX300s?

2005 RX330 -- Worth Repairing?

I'm curious to know the experience of others who have held on to their RX models for decades, for hundreds of thousands of miles.

I am the original owner of a 2005 Lexus RX330 with 282,700 miles.

It's run great for 21+ years but now I'm looking at a hefty repair to keep it going.

It needs front and rear struts and coils replaced.

It also needs both control arms and bushings replaced.

The best estimate I've received for this work is $4084.

Within the past year, I had the timing belt replaced, radiator replaced, and the oil pan replaced for another $4000. That was a good investment, in my opinion, because I got another year of use out of the car.

But now I'm wondering if this is a harbinger of things to come, and if I'm to have to start sinking more and more money into this.

I had thought to reach 300k and 350k, but now I'm wondering if I've reached the upper bound, if it's time to buy the next new car.

Insights? Thanks.

2013 Lexus RX350 needs a replacement water pump

Our RX350 with124,000 miles recently developed a rattling noise and I surmised it may be the water pump.

I retired a couple years ago and have been watching YouTube videos to DIY a lot of my own services. I have successfully done oil changes, spark plugs, air filters (cabin and engine), PCV valve, transmission "drain and fill", and Tire Pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors myself on this Lexus. It currently has 124,000 miles.

I have watched a few videos this week on water pump replacement and am a little apprehensive about doing this job myself.

The Lexus Dealership quoted me $1436 for replacement including coolant and labor.

A Local Mechanic that I trust and have used for many years confirmed it was the water pump and quoted me $1200 for replacement pump, all gaskets, coolant, and a replacement serpentine belt (all OEM parts).

Based on what I have done, which would you do and why?

A. Take it to the Lexus Dealer and pay $1436 (and keep old belt)

B. Take it to local mechanic and pay $1200 with new belt and all oem parts.

C. Attempt to do it yourself .
