Meeting LGBTQ+
Hi! I’m female, turning 19 in a month and since i moved to Leuven I’ve felt very lonely. i see cute couples and people with pride buttons walking around everywhere but almost everyone i have met is just cis and straight and i’m still a bit shy to talk about my sexuality with them. i was wondering where i can easily meet people around my age who are lgbtq.
i’ve heard about the unique rainbow house but whenever i remember to look at the events there seems to be a lot of things scheduled for older people. I’m also too scared to travel to brussels by myself in the evenings so i cant go to lgbtq bars there. i tried sitting in cafes and hanging around thrift stores but no one has really talked to me because they’re all just there to do their own thing.
The only idea i have left is going up to someone with pride pins and asking where they got them (because i want some too) and hoping it ends in a nice conversation and we become friends. Apart from that, is there any specific place or even somewhere online where i can just talk to people like me? (especially as a shy person)
