Freewrite traveler looks amazing, the zerowrite fold too, but I don't want to use their writing software. I'm very particular about my writing, and I want to use a single piece of software on my computer, phone, tablet, etc. I use Obsidian, I know some people swear by GDocs. Either way, why has no one made a clamshell keyboard with hinges like this where you can fit a phone/small e-ink reader? Everyone who makes writerdecks commercially is obsessed with doing the screen and writing software as well.

This amber kb1 doesn't look anywhere close to in the making, even the kb0 doesn't have a release date, which is a clamshell for apple's magic keyboard. I know there's the PDA Terminal by Un Kyun Lee, but I don't have a 3d printer, it's a little bulky, and I don't want to screw my device in, but otherwise that looks great too.

Either way, I just wanted to check if I'm alone in this or if other people are as desperate for something like this as well?

Edit: added more clarity.

Boox Palma 2 Pro - Extremely buggy or defective device?

I enjoyed my Boox Palma 2 Pro for all of 4 days, and then the bugs started. First, the volume down button would get stuck, even if it wasn't physically stuck, and so pages would skip ahead. If I locked the device and woke it up again, it was fixed, but 5min later into reading, the problem happened again. This lasted 2 days and somehow magically fixed itself, but now I've been having an issue where the touch screen just stops working, the device is responsive, the smart button works, and dragging from the top brings forth notifications, but that's it. No other gestures or touch works. If I lock the screen and turn it back on, it goes back to normal for a while. Firmware is up to date, have tried turning on/off wi-fi and bluetooth, case/no case, etc. Oh, there's also a dead pixel on the screen.

I'm trying to understand if I should just return this device for good and forget about it, or if it's worth it to try and get a new device. Is the Boox Palma 2 Pro just that terrible and susceptible to bugs or did I get unlucky? I loved it while it worked, but that hasn't lasted long. Now it's a new frustration every other day. I'm getting sick of it and it hasn't even been a week with this device.
