Somow Al Rasasi Dukhoon Wajaha quality dropped – better alternatives? (Swiss Arabian / Al Majad / ASQ)

have been using Somow Al Rasasi Dukhoon Wajaha for some time, but the recent batches seem lower in quality.

Friends suggested Swiss Arabian, Al Majad (Almajed for Oud), and Abdul Samad Al Qureshi (ASQ). Which one provides superior scent quality, longevity, and authentic oud character? Any particular recommendations for daily home use?

Additionally, I am looking for good-quality yet affordable oud wood (agarwood). Please suggest reliable sources in Dubai/UAE or trustworthy online sellers that offer value for money.

Thank you for your advice.

Does anyone know where I can find this kind of traditional artwork/frame in Dubai?

Would love recommendations for specific shops, markets, or areas in Dubai that sell Indian/Rajasthani/Mughal-style handmade frames like this.

Need help identifying my hair type and fixing my routine.

I live in UAE and recently I’ve been facing a lot of hair fall/shedding. My hair looks more wavy when wet but gets frizzy and undefined after drying, so I’m confused about my actual hair type.

I also tried a curly hair routine, but it didn’t really help or define my waves.

Current routine:

Air dry only

Double shampoo

Leave conditioner on for 10+ mins

Use Olaplex Bonding Oil

Can anyone tell me:

What hair type this looks like?

Does it look dry/damaged or just wavy and frizzy?

Any tips for reducing hair fall?

Any steps that i should add in my routine?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

This is going to be a long post because I need real advice and I don’t know where else to turn. I have a police complaint on my name in the UAE for breach of trust/embezzlement and I’m terrified. I can’t afford a lawyer right now and my family situation is desperate. Please read the full story before judging.

I was in a relationship for about 4 years with a man who sponsored my visa through his company. He was (and still is) married with a child. At the start he told me his wife had passed away. Later I found out she was alive, living in the UAE, and had filed for divorce and custody. Despite everything, I stayed and helped him a lot: I looked after his child, managed his business and house, and even drafted court memorandums that helped him win visitation rights.

He repeatedly promised marriage and a future together. After 2 years I got pregnant. He forced a miscarriage and I’ve been on anxiety medication ever since. Last year I got pregnant again. He completely ghosted me. I reached out to his friends and close circle because I was desperate. He got furious, accused me of trying to ruin his reputation, and told everyone the child wasn’t his. With no support and no way to raise a child alone under those conditions, I had to terminate the pregnancy too. It broke me. Was back in my home country at the time.

During our relationship he bought an apartment and put it entirely in my name. After he ghosted me during the second pregnancy, I came back to the UAE, took care of everything myself, and eventually sold the apartment without his knowledge. The money was used for my family’s emergencies (my father passed away recently, my brother had a brain stroke and is now paralyzed – I am the only one looking after him and the whole family). I also had to close the small holiday-home business I had started here because of the stress and this situation.

Here are the key facts about the apartment:

  1. All agreements and ownership documents were 100% in my name.

  2. He (through his company) was making the installments and he gave an official NOC to the developer confirming that.

  3. He used to cash-deposit money into my account and the installment payments were made from my account.

I am not trying to run away or hide. I just want to know what my realistic options are. Has anyone dealt with something similar in Dubai/UAE?

• Can I defend this without a lawyer initially?

• What usually happens in breach-of-trust cases when the property was legally in the accused’s name and payments were made through their account?

I spoke to two lawyers for free consultations. One suggested that I go to the police station and speak to them myself, while the other advised me not to go. They said that if I went, the police might put me in custody and keep me there until the judgment. I was also advised not to go to any malls or public places. The lawyer’s fees are 25,000 AED until the first judgment, and they would charge more if either party appeals.

After I came back to the UAE, I changed my contact number.

I’m exhausted, under medication, and the only breadwinner left for my family. Any genuine advice, similar experiences, or steps I should take right now would mean the world. Thank you for reading all the way through.
