Toronto to Quebec with 9-year-old
I am trying to plan a summer vacation with my nine year-old son and I'm a little bit unsure where to start. This will be the first vacation we have taken which does not revolve around visiting family, so I don't have anybody to stay with and I will have to wrap my head around booking hotels and how much this costs. My preliminary research has indicated that taking the train is much cheaper than going by airplane, and it's only about four hours. So my tentative plan is to take the train from Toronto to Quebec city, stay a few days there, then take the train to Montreal and stay a few days there, and then take the train back back to Toronto from Montreal. I have no idea where to stay or what to plan for. I do not drive so we will need a walkable or public transit accessible itinerary. I welcome any suggestions! We are flexible on when we go, hopefully in the first two weeks of August. I really don't have any other specific criteria, other than wanting to go away somewhere with him. Thanks for any suggestions!
