Suspension - “clunking” noise when sudden or hard turns
Hello - I need some help diagnosing this issue.
In the video (about 2 seconds in) you can hear like a strain or “clunking” noise on the car when you suddenly jerk it left to right, or even on a normal turn from road to road.
This recently came up and I’ve looked at the following:
- LCA arm bushing looks intact
- LCA arm to the Coilovers mounting point is off center
- Compression rod bushing and ball joint looks intact
- compression rod bushing does look “engaged”/at a slightly angle.
I have the following mods with over 1000 miles on the setup (daily driving and Autocross):
- BC racing Coilovers
- SPL FUCA
Location noise: front right (passenger side, US model)
My guess is even though the bushings look okay, my research says it could be my compression arm bushing anyways.
Any help in the problem would be much appreciated before I just buy the part that won’t fix it! Thanks in advance! 😭
