Now this is obviously assuming that Anaheim doesn’t match. Even before this news the Oilers were rumored to be in on Tippett, and with Philly having an abundance of right wingers it made a bit of sense. Now if they acquire Carlsson it makes even more sense because not only do they still have lots of right wingers, but they also need to free up cap space for Drysdale + Zegras. It also makes sense for Philadelphia to try and replenish their draft capital so a trade based around Howard + 2029 1st is more realistic that it was an hour ago.
