I stumbled across an unused Recon Helmet DLC code at Disc Traders for a whopping $2 and decided to snag it. I had just picked up Reach last night from GameStop and was only missing the code: I attempted to use it knowing full well it might not actually work, and to my surprise the Xbox website recognized it but kept throwing error codes.

I reached out to support, went through the various tasks that were required of me, and ultimately came to the conclusion that I wasn't able to retireve the Recon Helmet anymore. However, something that stuck out to me during the conversation was this: the support agent found that the code was never redeemed, yet he couldn't manually give me the DLC due to it not existing in Microsoft's current catalog. Maybe it's just me, but I was genuinely surprised that the agent could discover these things.

Attached is a portion of my chat with the support agent, who did their best to go above and beyond in helping me get the helmet.

What do you guys think occurred?

I am currently replacing thermal paste in my 15 years old Star Wars model and found this easter egg message.

Would this be worth fixing? I got a xenon recently and I reflowed it to fix it temporarily, turns out it's on nxe dashboard 2.0.8955.0. Found somewhere I can get it fixed for £40 with 2 year warranty. It now unfortunately has rrod again so just wondering if I should pay the price? Thanks

As a massive Dead Space fan, I feel guilty of missing out on these games. I always thought about playing the ME trilogy but never got around to it. The Alien game kind of gives me Dead Space vibes. Which should I play first, Trilogy or Aliens?

Games are Mid, but found this Bundle cheap, want to get for collection.

Is it a normal temperatures?

Hey everyone, I've been brainstorming possible workarounds to get this game back on my 360 (stock). I'm kicking myself for not downloading it before the store went down.

For context, I own the game on my microsoft account. I have tried finding it under the purchase/download history but the page returns an error when you try to download again. I've tried using other suggested tricks like global search and using the xbox store on pc, no dice.

I feel like there must be SOMETHING to do, because the game is still available for download on the Xbox series x store, but it doesn't play because the AI won't do anything (I've tried supposed solutions to fix the game also).

Looking for any creative workarounds if there are any. Here's what I've come up with so far.

1. Is there a way to spoof a flashdrive to make it look like I'm transferring the game from a legit 360 hdd? Then I can find the package online.

2. If I go the homebrew route, will that affect anything about my xbox live account? I have other consoles with CFW but I held off on doing anything to my 360 since I've had my gamertag forever and don't want to risk a ban.

3. And lastly, if I find someone who still had the game installed on a legit hdd, I could copy it to my own drive and it would work since I have the license? This seems pretty niche but I'd be willing to throw the cost of shipping someone's way to get the game again. Funny enough I have all of the DLC packs still downloaded just not the full game, so a data swap would be ideal.

I just find it hard to believe in 2026 with all the workarounds and tricks that have been found I can't download a game I own. Any help is appreciated.

So I decided to put this console to use again because softmodding is really easy now, which I did. The console works fine, but it's pretty noisy though.
