Video footage of new Victoria and Elizabeth machines.

Here is some real-life video footage of the new Victoria and Elizabeth "3" machines, as the Lelit site has video renders and pro produced glamour shots.

Frankly, the Victoria is looking real good! The new LCC, display, lights, legs, new water tank, and up to five stage pressure profiling at "half of $2,000" price point.

My partner doesn't drink milk drinks anymore, and I'm a ice americano with splash of milk year round drinker. I'm thinking of downgrading to the Victoria from the Elizabeth and daily driving that for a year or three.

Available October 2026.

Detraining and VO₂max: the drop starts sooner than expected

This presentation from Stanford University suggests that the average joe can increase their Vo2max by 10-20% from their genetic baseline. Okay, so far so good! HIIT is the preferred method. Yes, yes, intervals until your gut is turning.

But then at about 21 minutes in they introduce a graphic that shows vo2max levels in detrained individuals (i.e. go couch potato) drop precipitously just TEN DAYS IN and return to baseline in three months. It then takes another three months to get back to where you started. Round tripping in three months makes sense, what surprised me the most is that one will lose 33-25% of the 20% vo2max increase earned over the course of months.... in just ten days off the bike!

Happy (mostly) 20X user here.

Yesterday I started getting these sandbox full messages. Coworkinforms me that the sandbox is full and shell is dead.

bash failed on resume error -1: failed to write to srt-settings: write/etc/srt-settings/dfadfsdfsfjsdf iser zealous-bored-cannon already exist unexpectedly.

I can't seem to get a new session going despite logging out and restarting the machine. It's persisting and won't clear out VM cache...

I'm now manually running local scripts written by CoWork which is less than ideal.

Just me? Anyone else?

Skimming crema, where am I and how did I get here?

It absolutely hate that it unequivocally tastes as good as Hoffman claimed that it would. The skim takes that bitter edge right off the Ethiopian single origin. I was floored at the difference I could actually taste, even with kettle water.

No [EXPLETIVE] way am I steaming water.
