DF54 grinder vs Eureka Mignon Specialita? With the LELIT Mara X

I recently purchased a LELIT Mara x and although my DF54 grinder seems to be holding up well I love the idea of having a hopper and a grind by time as my grinder cam sometimes have a lot of retention and sometimes isn’t the most consistent, don’t get me wrong my DF54 is definitely more than capable for my machine but the FOMO is killing me. Is it worth it for me to upgrade to the eureka mignon specialita or stay with my current DF54?

Loving our new set up

Three weeks in with my new setup

It’s definitely been a learning curve coming from my old cheap Aldi machine! 😅

After plenty of experimenting with grind, dose, temperature and extraction, I’m getting closer to that sweet spot.

Still tweaking and learning, but I’m really happy with my choices based within my budget which was below €500. The Victoria and the Eureka MG50E are definitely a keeper ☕️❤️

Lelit bianca: flow too fast

My lelit bianca flow is too fast: flow rate with no porta filter is about 270ml/minute, normal rate should be 200 (as far as I know).

I thought the gliceur was broken bit it's ok and once checked it I also changed it.

Pump pressure was about 10bars, so I reduced it to 9bars - flow rate reduced from 300ml to 270 in about 30' seconds.

The water flowing from the machine should look like a "gentle rain" while in my case is concentrated in the center and not on the whole shower. I took off the shower which is clean...

Any ideas?

Edit: I changed the needle, greased it and tighten a bit more the gliceur and the top. The flow is now reduced to 160g in 20'' , about 8g per second. It's still mich higher than expected but now I have no clues...

Leaking copper pipe leading to Steam valve [Lelit Mara X]

Hi everybody
I’ve had an issue with my Lelit Mara X (PL62X-EUCW, purchased 27.11.2025) for about a month now: once the machine reaches operating temperature, it starts whistling. After opening up the machine, I found that small water droplets are leaking from the fitting between the copper pipe and the steam valve (on top of the boiler, where the pipe leads to the steam wand).
What I’ve done so far:
• Tightened the union nut (17mm) with a wrench – leak persists (fine water beads at the connection)
• Opened the connection and inspected the thread: it appears to be a soldered joint (dark, somewhat uneven solder point right below the nut), rather than a pure flare or PTFE-tape-sealed fitting

Any ideas how to fix? I attached some photos.

No pressure buildup on my Anita PL042 – any ideas?

Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with my Anita PL042. It’s no longer building any pressure, it just drips lightly instead. I checked the hose and there’s no foreign object or blockage inside it. Has anyone run into this before, or know what might be causing it? Any troubleshooting tips would be appreciated!

Sour or bitter shots on ECM Puristika vs Lelit Mara X (Eureka Single Dose Pro)

I recently picked up a used ECM Puristika for a bargain price (€500). It’s in good condition. I cleaned it thoroughly, backflushed the grouphead and everything seems to work properly. For comparison, I also have a Lelit Mara X that I bought new about a year ago. I’m using the same grinder, the same coffee (medium roast, local roaster, around 8 days off roast), and I’m trying to keep the recipe the same. But I consistently get a much better tasting espresso from the Mara X. With the Puristika, the shots often turn out either too sour or too bitter. I can’t seem to find that sweet spot the way I can with the Mara X.

I’m using a Eureka Mignon Single Dose Pro.

The previous owner told me they always used filtered water, and the water coming from the group head tastes completely normal to me.

I’m wondering what could explain the difference. Could it be a difference in brew temperature? Or could it be related to pre-infusion?

Group head pressure on Bianca v3

I’m fairly new to the Bianca. Does the fact that the group head pressure is higher than the pump pressure just mean I’m grinding too fine? I had it dialled in to just above 9 bar before with the same bag of beans.

Lelit Mara PL62X overheated

I came home, the breaker (RCD) had tripped, and there was a nasty smell of burnt cable and electronics. The culprit was identified right away -> the Lelit. I’ve now opened it up and found that both 165°C safety thermostats (part number MC032) are completely burned out. I’ve ordered two replacements, but I’m very, very skeptical about how this could happen and whether that’s enough, or whether something else must be broken too. It seems almost impossible that the machine would just keep heating relentlessly, to the point where the safety thermostats melt? Does anyone have an idea or a hunch what the fault could be?

Bianca V3 Leaking Water

Having an issue with water leaking from this part of the machine. I’ve opened it up and cleaned the vacuum breaker but it’s still leaking - do you all think it’s the safety breaker that is faulty? Should I replace both of the breakers?

Loud Pump?

Watching other people's videos on here their machines sound almost silent. Is mine much louder than normal?

Bonus points if anyone has tips to stop the horrible tray vibration noise this machine has.

How's the Victoria for milk-based drinks?

Hello, we've been using Melita Leticia 600 or a few years now and our machine broke and the repair cost about is half of brand new one, we love coffee and we drink quite a lot I drink about 90% of the time espresso while my wife drinks about 90% of her time cappuccino,

We usually drink two to three times a day, I've read a lot about the Victoria and some reviews state that it is not ideal or milk-based drinks, Elizabeth is about 1,000 bucks more where I from, it is out of my budget, will the Victoria be good enough for us? Can it handle dual cappuccinos twice a day? How is the steaming on this machine?

Recommended water

New to Lelit Bianca v3, hello my friends. What is the recommended water to use? Should I use tap and filtered water it comes with, and what do you recommend for store bought water if we want to buy it? Thank you 🙏🙂

Dialling beans on the Bianca

Hey! I used to consider myself pretty proficient at dialling in new coffee beans while I was using my old rocket machine, now that I’ve upgraded to the lelit bianca v3, I’m struggling to get to an optimal state with all the new variables:

- temp control
- pre infusion
- flow control

Obviously I love all the capabilities and I’ve made some unbelievably tasty cups since the upgrade, but I wanted to ask this community if anyone has any hacks or tips to help get new beans into a good cup?

I’ve done a lot of YouTubing so the basics of things like the below are clear, but looking for any further comments or anyone else’s experience on this.

- higher temps for lighter roasts
- pre infusions for lighter roasts
- taper flow control on darker roasts

Just bought a Bianca v3 and Eureka Libra,

New to espresso and jumped fully in. Bought a Lelit Bianca v3 and a Eureka Mignon Libra. Was going to get the Baratza Sette 270Wi but thought the Libra might be better. Any set up things I should be aware of? I’m in California, any water suggestion? Maybe Crystal Geyser or Arrowhead? Also got the Libra 22mm dosing funnel for the Lelit, a milk frothing jug, and a knock box. What else should I have? 100% internet taught, so I basically know next to nothing.

Bianca vibration questions

Just received a new Bianca and have a couple of questions … the machine vibrates like crazy when pulling a shot, to the point where the shot glass is dancing all over the drip tray. Even pressing down on the tray won’t completely stop it from moving around. This can’t be normal but I do not see a way to secure the tray.

Secondly, the lever to pull the shot seems loose, it does not have two clear positions, if I raise it halfway it doesn’t click in and a little water trickles out of the group head. It was not that way initially, there were three clear positions, off, half up and full on.

Lastly, having some trouble steaming, even with the 4-hole tip. This may be because my other machine is a Linea Mini which has a very powerful steam wand and will do the job in about 10 seconds but I’m having trouble getting a good vortex happening. Any tips? Recommendations for steam boiler temperature?
