Tiny Fresh to Dry Arrangement for Teacher’s Day

Tiny Fresh to Dry Arrangement for Teacher’s Day

I was thinking about what to give the teachers at my son’s school and voilà, a trip to the mall for some discounted teacups, plus some foliage, grass, dainty flowers, and ribbon. 🌿🌼

I really enjoyed putting these together, and I got to practice my floral arranging too!

Hand-tied bouquet

I found creating a bouquet harder than making a vase arrangement. For this piece, I wanted to achieve an airy garden-style look using bright florals.

I’m practicing the spiral method, but I modified it a little by using a bunch of greenery as an anchor in the middle. I was hoping to use smaller gerberas, but flower supply is very limited right now because of the typhoon. We haven’t had cosmos, Queen Anne’s lace, or other dainty flowers lately.

What do you think? Do you have any tips for creating hand-tied bouquets? Wrapping is a different beast too!

Inspired by Matcha with a hint of Strawberry

A dear friend just gave birth and I made this arrangement for her. She likes matcha so I went with that theme. These are all local flowers and the casuarina foliage is a revelation! It added a lot of texture and coverage. Excited to explore more flowers and foliage!

Recent Arrangements

When I have extra stems, I enjoy doing some ikebana inspired arrangements for the house. What do you think? I wonder how I can develop this into a product since I feel more confident doing this vs bouquet arrangements.

So in love with Gloriosa Lily

Last night’s flower market run was lovely! Found these beautiful Gloriosa along with the spider gerbera and mini anthuriums. I’ve added alstroemeria as fillers. Even the leaves and foliage from Gloriosa, I was able to use! What do you think? I made this bouquet for a friend!
