Bought a few bunches of flowers from the supermarket and arranged them adding in some foraged stems and greenery too!
random question for shop owners on this subreddit.
with how good AI tools are getting (chatgpt codex, claude code etc), pretty much anyone can build their own floral website and POS software now, even with zero coding background. i've watched someone build a full site in a day using one of these tools. in my mind, this will eventually make software like bloomnation, hana, telaflora etc completely obsolete.
so im just curious -- why aren't more shop owners using these tools NOW, TODAY? it would legit save you hundreds, if not thousands per year in revenue
is it that you don't actually want to learn it and build your own stuff? is it intimidating to build your own POS software? just a head ache and you dont want to deal with it? i've also had many people tell me they're "anti-ai" but is this really worth it to pay 10% of revenue a month for something you could just build yourself?
not selling anything here, genuinely trying to understand what people want / what they're thinking. appreciate your honesty! thanks
so slow today. is this your guys slowest weekend of the year too?
Just need my cosmos, zinnias to and sunflowers to hurry up and flower and I think I’ll out do myself again for my next attempt!
Thankfully the house came with a few shrubs, patiently waiting for my dahlias and annuals 🫶🏻
Its my first time dealing with a vip client. I m very nervous. Can somebody help me calculate the stems.
Much appreciated.
What do you think? I always get so many shasta daisies in my garden every summer and just seeing how I can use them. Also common onion flowers are amazingly sturdy and long lasting. These ones are over a week old.
hello! some of my recent work, with a lot of flowers sourced from my second year cut flower garden. I’m more of an amateur in floral design, really only starting this as a hobby last year in Fall 2025.
I feel like lately, while my technical skillset is improving and I think I’m capturing that whimsical garden-style look, I don’t feel super inspired and I’m trying to figure out how to get over this creative block, so what do you do when you feel like this?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I purchased these lotuses from an Indian market because I thought they would be great in a bloom basket. The woman at the counter told me to open them by hand when ready and that they’d last 3-5 days.
The videos I see online feature someone smacking a bud and watching it explode into a perfect bloom. The petals on the inside of mine won’t budge and the outside ones droop towards the ground. I feel like I’m tearing them apart. Am I doing something wrong here? Is it something I’m supposed to do with the cotton buds or the handling or the opening? Are floral arrangements just wrong feeling and anxiety inducing by default? Any advice appreciated.
I found an old Japanese Roku style vase and it gave me an inspiration for an ikebana. Went out to the garden and picked some marigolds, an old branch and some parsley seed blooms. I had a philodendron growing in a bottle so I added it too. I like the simplicity.
Hello all, I have a client that would like to include hibiscus flowers in her bridal bouquet. However, I learned that hibiscus as a cut flower tends to wilt quickly. My client agreed to alternatives that look similar to hibiscus flowers. Can you guys please help me with recommendations for hibiscus alternatives that look similar to hibiscus but will last longer in a bouquet? Much appreciated!
Hello! I made this arrangement out of practice! I also wanted to test my luck with this specialty Dahlia once again! What do you recommend? I always try to go for a whimsical structure, but I could never get that V/360 shape what can I do to practice? thank you guys! :)
The bride loved it so much 🥹. She wanted a "Rustic" and slightly muted and dusty pink bouquet. I'm absolutely in love with it, the pictures do not do it justice at all. 😫 Shout-out to my friend holding the bouquet for me!!
made this arrangement out of flowers that my family grows on our property! used day lilies, spray roses, daisies, and some blue filler that i’m unsure of 🌷💫🧡
