What do you focus on arranging first?

Curious if my line of thinking is right here. Save the best blooms for bridal bouquet but design it last. Use the rest of the best blooms for bud vases first, then the rest for larger arrangements, since you can blend the blown center dahlias that way? Guests will be seeing the bud vases more up close than a welcome sign arrangement is how I see it. Is that a good plan? I know some of my cut dahlias will have open centers by the time I start arranging tomorrow, which isn’t bad for wedding work, but I don’t want any bud vases going yuck or shedding petals by Friday.

Waterproof tape?

What brands are good for waterproof tape to hold down chicken wire in a wide, low vessel? I bought some on Amazon and purposefully wet it and it unstuck.. so that clearly isn’t an option! Thanks!

Wagon for two kiddos; one will be 4/5 months old

My questions are a bit two fold. 1) any wagon recs with low tox materials because we aren’t doing the whole double stroller thing. They just seem far too clunky to me. We were looking at Jeep by Delta children as many are green guard certified. Veer is way out of price range IMO, but maybe not if someone would convince me enough haha.

  1. Any wagons where the seat felt comfortable enough to put a 4 month in without the car seat? Like supported with a towel and strapped in like we would do at home to practice sitting. I’m not sure that any exist with a more bucket style seat for an infant. If not, we’ll just get the additional attachment for things this summer.

I don’t like this new age pick up drop off car line stuff for such little children

For context my daughter just turned 3 and has been home with me her whole existence thus far, but she is starting nature camp when I go back to work from maternity leave this month. She is scared of people. Shuts down, won’t talk, doesn’t even talk to our friends she knows she likes when they come over. she has to warm up to people. We have coaxed her on proper manners and describing greeting people, but I don’t push it because she’s 3, I don’t expect her to love strangers and don’t think she should have to. It took her months and months to trust her swim instructor. The nature camp/school does the whole carside drop off and pick up. I already know homegirl is going to hate it. I’m going to ask if at least the first couple days I can park and get out, because I think it’s cruel in general for such little children whose safe place is mom and dad. Not to mention I feel like I want to hug my child goodbye. This whole new drop off thing just seems cold.

I’ve read online some parents who got to bring their children in to daycare then when they transitioned to kindergarten the car drop off was a big issue. There doesn’t seem to be a park and come in option and no other parent brought it up at the parent night so I’m going to ask privately. There’s special needs children who get to go a little earlier to have some quiet time but even for them it’s carside. I‘m just venting and looking for tips that helped your nervous child get used to it.

Kinetic Sand and Toys PSA

Just making a little PSA to not be like me. Fun fact: if you thought you’d get some low tox, good quality silicone sand toys to use with kinetic sand.. don’t bother, it sticks like a mofo 😭 Now I’m sitting here brushing off any sand I can from the toys and will have to find some hard plastic molds and such still!😵‍💫🤣 Apparently sticking them in the freezer might help release the sand better. At least these toys will be repurposed for the regular sand box/beach.

Washable paper towels/cotton rag?

Alright I’ve been itching to do this since I tried papaya reuseables to which we didn’t really like them. They get stained and nothing takes them out. I’m looking for a cotton reuseable rag/paper towel basically that I can use for my toddler after meals and others for kitchen things. I’m ashamed that she’s 3 and we’re still wiping her down with baby wipes after each meal 😵‍💫 It’s so wasteful and I need to stop. I would prefer the towel has a little loop so it can be hung to dry like the papaya reuseables were! That’s my ideal. Any thoughts?

Hi all! I went through my inventory yesterday of what is ready to go that I’m not planting. Many items are 50% off! Some varieties I just have a few tubers left.

Everything has a sprout (some had to be cut as the length from the bottom of the shoe boxes was too long for the packaging/mailing boxes But they continue growing more shoots).

I will include an unreleased dahlia seedling should the number of orders allow it!

I also condensed the top shipping tiers. 1-4 tubers is $11, 5+ tubers is $15.

I am stacked this week with planting and Mother’s Day bouquets 💐 Orders should go out Monday the 11th which is still great for colder planting zones! If I can swing a trip to UPS sooner I will do my best. I’m in PA.

Happy dahlia planting! https://shop.jolieflowers-pa.com

▲ 3 r/Bento

I’m new to all this bento box stuff and looking up lunch bags.. I was wanting to get both the planetbox launch and shuttle for my daughter starting preschool or at least some other stainless steel snack storage. It seems like all the lunch bags that fit bento boxes are then going to tip all the contents sideways 🤔 Maybe I’m overthinking it but isn’t there an upright bag where the box fits on the bottom and then additional items on top? I feel like planetbox made their boxes such a size that doesn’t even fit regular lunch bags, and I’m about to just pick a different normal size bento box instead because this is so frustrating!

I’ll start by saying many of you are probably WAY more fit than I am. My first postpartum I didn’t work out at all besides getting back into my normal farming routine for the spring-fall. This time I had a VBAC and some prolapse, pelvic floor issues. I went to PT yesterday and she told me to buy the tool to practice kegels with the app, and then gave me exercises to do everyday, EVERYDAY. Some of you are like yeah so? I’m just thinking where am I going to find the time everyday when I’m tired, I’m busy with a toddler and pumping/baby needs round the clock. Then when I go back to work, will be even less time. And she’s only going to give me more exercises and reps next time I go.

I’m not shitting on the therapy, I know I need it, but I wanted to laugh when she said if you can do it twice a day that’s even better, I’m like girl come on. This already is going to be twice a day with the tool that I have to do in privacy, not around my toddler vs the exercises. I also question if I went too early. She was explaining it can take a full 6 months for things to feel normal again and I’m fresh at 2 months asking for PT. I guess I’m just looking for others who experienced the PT, did you heal if you could only do it a couple times a week not everyday? How do you prioritize the time for it??

We toured a nature camp and preschool today and we need some items for our girl who will be 3. She needs muck boots for skinny feet, lightweight overalls, and tall socks (cotton or mostly cotton preferably). Any recs? Also I guess sneakers we don’t mind her getting demolished. The sneakers we have for her now are her “nice” sneakers lol. She already has water shoes.
