How do you clean up your duplicate folders and files?

In my drive it's only things you've done yourself, so yeah it's my responsibility.

But for example an organization shared drive could have many many more as people just throw files and folders wherever and don't care to keep it organized because they're only looking at the one or two files on their recent view.

[Android/Web][$50/yr -> 1 yr free next 24 hours] Carakin | Encrypted Family Care Calendar

Hello everyone!

For the next 24 hours, I am giving away a 1 year subscription to anyone who logs in and creates a new family (literally just enter a name and you're done). Subscriptions are family based so you only need 1 per family, not 1 per user.

I designed Carakin to help make organizing care for aging parents or family members between multiple people easier. Group chats and calendars can get messy quickly so having it all in one place helps anyone connected to the family account answer questions like:

- Who's taking mom to her appointment?
- Did dad take his medication today?
- Did Steve do this weeks pharmacy pickup?

You can assign tasks, appointments, medications, and reminders to specific caregivers. The assigned person receives reminders before and/or when something is due, taps Done when it's complete, and anyone you choose can automatically be notified. No chasing people down with texts or wondering whether something got done.

Honestly after making it I realized it could be used for anything requiring coordination between multiple people and different notification levels (before, during, completed/issue).

The most important thing to me when making this was privacy. Everything is encrypted on your device before it reaches the server(end to end AES-256-GCM). I can't read your health information, appointments, medications, notes, or files. Actually, if you lose your encryption key and don't have another family admin to approve a new device, I can't recover your data so please save your recovery ID when creating your family, and I recommend inviting a second admin just in case.

If you create a family on web, that same family can be connected to the Android app just login with the same Gmail/Microsoft email and approve the new device on your original.

How to get 1 year free:

- Sign up and make a family. That's it.

Anyone who makes a family in the next 24ish hours I'll give a 1 year subscription.

You can download the app/sign in on the Android and Web links below. Reviews and feedback are always helpful, as well as any additions or feature requests! (iOS will be coming at a later date when I get a mac)

[Android/Web][$50/yr -> 1 year free] Carakin: encrypted family care calendar

Hello!

For the next 24 hours I'm giving away 1 year free subscription for everyone who signs up and creates a family. (All you have to do is login with Google/Microsoft and enter a name for your family)

About the app:

Carakin is an encrypted family care app designed to make caring for aging parents and loved ones easier, especially when multiple family members are involved.

The idea is to have one secure place where everyone can stay on the same page. Instead of group texts and trying to remember who did what, family members can coordinate care with a shared calendar, medication reminders, appointments, tasks, notes, and important documents for each kin profile.

Honestly one of the coolest features is the scheduling and assigning of tasks/appointments/medications. The app allows you to assign it to someone, notify them before/at the time, and notify anyone else either at the time or when marked complete.

If you have any feedback let me know! And of course if you like the app please feel free to leave a review!

I made an Android app that can set your background to random daily NASA sources (mostly)

Hi! I recently wanted to be able to change my background and lock screen to NASA APOD, but didn't want to manually change it everyday so I made an app for it lol

Right now it has NASA APOD, Earth View, Epic Earth, Mars Rovers, Earth Observatory, and Wikipedia picture of the day.

Basically you can set your background or lock screen to different sources or all, have it show daily or even hourly (random images from the source) and some different types of formatting.

I want to add some more sources just not sure what yet! Can't post pictures because it's not the weekend but it is on the app store!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dailybackground

If you have any other sources I'd be happy to add them! I use firebase to host the data of URL, description, etc., but the images still come from the sources

A year later and I finally updated my color guessing game - ColorGuessr

Game Title: ColorGuessr

Playable Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.colorguesssr

Platform: Android

Description: (Provide a detailed description of your game. Minimum 100 words)

Free to Play Status:

  • [ ] Free to play

Involvement:
About a year ago I had an idea for a game where you got to practice color matching. The thought came from back at an old job the entire workplace was divided on a toolbox being green or blue, and I was sparked into trying to make the guessing a reality.

It's still pretty simple and I've tried to add some extras here and there, but now there are a few game modes and I wanted to share!

Happy to receive feedback if you wanted to check it out.
