Instead of protesting against policies, we should hold a "We Pay Taxes" party
Instead of protesting against anti-immigration policy, we should be creative and hold a "We Pay Taxes" party. All of us foreigners can gather together, bring banners, leaflets, books, and statistics about our contributions to and love for Japan, and inform the curious Japanese people who stop by. Let's at least notify the English-language media so they know about the event.
We can frame it as a social gathering and cultural exchange rather than a protest. No anti-Japan slogans, no "we don't want to pay taxes" slogans, and nothing about current policy changes just a party about "we also pay taxes."
