Hatching issue - HELP!

This Indian stick tried to hatch this morning - when I found her she was mostly out except her tail and she was not moving, I thought she was dead

After a light mist and a paintbrush the egg popped off, but all her legs are deformed. She can’t walk, only shuffle very short distances

I’ve propped her on a misted leaf so she can drink, but it’s not safe to move her into the nursery

What else can I do to help her? She is incredibly weak and won’t move on her own - could she still make it?

Her underside is more yellow than other newborns and her tail looks frayed :(

Fast development - weather

Have anyone else’s sticks developed super fast due to the hot weather? My Indian sticks are adults at 11 weeks when they should mature around 16 weeks

The oldest has started laying at just under 3 months old

Has anyone else had this with theirs, and did it shorten the lifespan of existing adults?

Excess eggs

I have several Indian stick insects and still a few eggs - I have slightly too many to keep so was wondering what you would do in this situation? They could be due between now and september

I don’t know anyone who could have them and don’t want to cause suffering

Will she be okay?

My 2 week old Indian stick has recently started to keep her tail curved at a weird angle and appears to walk awkwardly

She lost a back leg recently - though I am not surprised as she had damaged her back legs hatching

Cleaning new enclosure

I have a new enclosure (net and a clear plastic side) for my Indian stick insect nymphs. The enclosure was delivered on Amazon and was brand new still in the original packaging.

I know they’re not allowed soap, so do I need to do anything other than a warm rinse (shower) and air dry before they move in?

Is she normal size?

This Indian stick insect was born on May bank holiday weekend and has had 3 moults already - now 3.5cm not including outstretched legs

Does she look reasonably sized for her age and stage of development?

Cleaning new enclosure

I’m looking at getting a new enclosure and just wanted to check how best to clean it. They’re Indian sticks and I’m pretty sure they’re not allowed soap so just wondered what everyone else did?

It’s mesh btw

Moulting - too young?

I checked on my baby Indian stick insects this morning and one has had its first moult at 14 days old

I moved them away from the heat asap to avoid harming their development, but is 14 days still too young to moult and grow healthy? I thought it should be closer to 3 weeks

Aging

I’ve recently lost a 9 month old Indian stick insect to old age

Her sister is the same age and has always been very fast. Today I noticed she has been slower when walking and slower to right herself. She is still eating and dancing, and laying eggs, she just appears to be in slow motion with reduced grip

The other one stayed fast until she was seriously ill, so could this be something different and not imminent decline? I’m not ready to lose her too, she’s the last one in this generation 😢

If this is decline, are her eggs safe to keep?

I have two Indian sticks age 8 months old and they are still laying eggs - as they are quite old are the eggs still likely to hatch and be healthy?

Three of their sisters of the same age are dying/died from old age - how long do your sticks of this species live? Just not sure what to expect from these two

Following my last post about the declining 8 month old Indian stick, another one of the same age has started to decline too :(

Is this an age related thing? I was expecting them to live to 12 months - beginning to wonder if the same will happen to the other 8 month olds (my whole group of 5 :( )
