LA Times (2012): Tina Fey and Robert Carlock (screenwriter) “originally set out to make a live-action version of The Simpsons.” If you're a 30 Rock fan and haven't yet, do yourself a favor and binge Simpsons seasons 2-10. Legendary, trailblazing writing in a similar style.
IMO, don't bother with Season 1. It's... primitive. There's still good stuff after Season 10, but it's a long, slow decline from there.
Besides rooting for long, exhausting extra time, do we want Belgium or Senegal to win?
reddit.comIt's weird that we don't round ages like everything else. A 24 year and 300 day old person should be said to be 25.
reddit.comI put some peanuts under a clear glass and this cardinal told me to go fuck myself.
How to get the first commenter 2x the karma of the actual post.
Was the repeated misuse of "barter" intentional? Either way, I missed it the first 10 times I watched this episode.
I'm the first to rag on Musah (check my post history). But, against all odds, I think he should have gotten the call up.
We know what Musah is: Incredible ball protection. Press-breaking outlet dribbling ability. An incredible engine. Defensive athleticism. World cup experience. Ultra-high level club experience.
Is he goal dangerous? Not remotely.
Can he shit the bed sometimes? Yep.
But considering our injury problems, I think we could have used him. He's a low-upside, low-downside (usually) solid player at the 8 and 6. You can't convince me that you feel better with Berhalter and Roldan in the game. I'm not hearing it.
My own personal CDM depth chart:
- Adams
- Tessman (injured?)
- Cardoso (out)
- Musah
- Morris
- Berhalter
- Probably 2-3 other guys I can't even think of or know about
- Roldan
And It looks like we're gonna start #6 or #8 at the world cup, at least in some games. Yikes!
(IMO, Weston is too valuable at the 10 or 8 to be a pure CDM.)
