Last week there was a poll about allowing GIFs on r/infj. There was overwhelming support in favor for adopting them.

GIF comments have not been allowed in this sub for quite some time, it was a decision made by the previous mod team.

The current mod team is willing to listen, and will allow a trial period of GIF comments. We are thinking a trial of a couple weeks or so to see how it goes before making any final decisions.

This sub has always been a discussion-based forum, and the intent behind allowing GIFs will not be to replace that. Anyone using GIFs will still be expected to abide by the basic rules and not use them in a way that is dismissive, invalidating, or disrespectful. The hope behind allowing GIFs is to inject some well-placed humor and fun where and when it is appropriate.

That being said, the mod team is already stretched very thin these days with just two of us being here. So, we would appreciate if users would make reports if you see GIFs being used in a problematic fashion.
